I just saw a commercial for a new series on FX called American Horror that starts October 5. Normally I'd throw out the cheesy flag, but this one is created by Ryan Murphy. I loved Nip/Tuck. Potential, perhaps?

Thank you for posting this as I rarely watch TV, there's too much CrAp. But this sounds like a good show. I'm gonna have to check this out

This starts next week... Anyone know anything about it? The commercials are very well done, but don't give any clue as to what the show's about. Wikipedia is pretty cryptic, too... just something about a family moving into a haunted mansion in LA.

I just saw it. I'm a HUGE fan on thriller horror/psychological horror and I HAVE to say that this is worth a watch. The intro is very creepy and well, I must admit that the initial concept is very predictable (troubled family moving into new home, nasty crap left in the house) but the execution of the storyline is just fabulous. Stuff like this keeps me awake for days. :P Or at least, I will need to sleep with a nightlight.

Someone told me I would like it, but I was surprised I didn't. I might give it one more episode, but it hasn't scared me, I don't like any of the characters, and the structure seems a little off to me. But I'm not familiar with Ryan Murphy, so maybe I wouldn't like his other stuff too.
