Hi everybody,

Just wanted to mention this book for fairy lovers out there. Though it is presented as one photographer's trek across the world to capture fairies on film, some graphic manipulations as well as credits make it obvious they are just beautifully posed pics. That being said, this is an amazingly captivating book, with gorgeous pictures, an engaging story attached to each pic, and printed on attractive, glossy paper. Is a wonderful "coffee table" book, and could serve as a cpnversation starter with friends, family, or children. Scalora may have additional books now...i havent checked in the couple years since i bought this.

In summary, though initially (upon picking it up tonight for the first time post-spiritkeeping) annoyed at the deceptive quality of the book (offended only because i now know there are real fairies), this tack is widespread in the media today, with films such as Paranomal Activity, etc...so, taken for what it is, this book is beautiful and would be appreciated by most fans of the fae.

Does the author present the photos as being real footage?

Yea...for the purposes of the story, like with Paranormal Activity or Blair Witch. I mean, obviously that ia the gimmick, and there are model credits at the end of the book. Doesnt mean some wont be confused (a friend of ours got upset over the book...confused...just like some did with Blair Witch). Doesnt demean the work...just slightly annoying, given that we know the truth...that there are fairies. Know what i mean?

So if i buy a cheap chinese iphone knockoff (called an Iphone!) and sell it as the new 4s, it's okay because the person owning it will get a better experience thinking they have the real deal?... I don't really like the sound of that and i would get quite annoyed with the faked pictures even if the prose was good. Maybe i could pay a million dollars for it in monopoly money and it would be okay because they would think they were millionaires! lol
