I found something out by accident the other day as well. Some wine glasses were left in my new apartment and I just dinged one and it made a lovely long sound-- it was crystal. Nice gift! Anyway, I've been using that to train my hearing. A drum with a nice overtone will work well too.

I've heard of this before! It really does work wonders :thumbup: After my boyfriend was killed (4 years ago) I experienced a drop in my second sight.... Doing this exercise really helped me open back up. I tried to do it with 2 tea-lights.. I can't remember how that one panned out LOL :crazy:

just a quick noob question - how long should one be doing this exercise and what results to expect? Could anybody share their experience after performing this very technique for about a week/a month, etc.

Agreed... excellent exercise. I've been meditating over a candle flame for several years, and it is the one method that truly draws me in.
