from a practical standpoint, I understand people who say classify beings they've only seen do harm as "BA." Not waiting around to see if it's really DA might make sense if you're more interested in protection than working with the beings. Less sympathy for people who go "feels spooky: must be BA!"

Makes sense that BA could pass for DA, depending how intelligent the being is. How does anyone work with the spirits knowing it may take years or a lifetime to know their true nature?
