Book of the Dead is a commercial title from long ago. And any scholar, these days should use the actual tile which is thus:
The Scroll for the Coming Forth Unto Day
The problem is most of these interpreters have not read Sir E.A.Wallis Budge and most especially Sir Alan Gardiner. I find it interesting and wrong that so many people who are interested in the mysticism spend no time learning to read the hieroglyphics. If you can program a cell phone, you can learn egyptian, then you can read the direct written words of the Egyptian mystics...and what needs to be known is that different languages and especially since Ancient Egyptian, Attic Greek, & Klamath Indian languages are structured so differently that by learning them you can think like them and it should be understood that when you do that, then you can see like them and that is most important, and one of the meanings of the function of "The Eye of Horus".

I actually have been trying to teach myself to read and write in hieroglyphics. It's not too hard, just tricky to learn all the symbols and placement.
I'd say I am at the first grade level so far.
Really getting into my Egyptians lately.

Are your Egyptian spirits helping you learn hieroglyphics? That would be interesting.Syriana wrote:I actually have been trying to teach myself to read and write in hieroglyphics. It's not too hard, just tricky to learn all the symbols and placement.

I just started to try to learn how to read and write with them, but last night I was gifted a jackal and a camel in a dream from a man I could never look straight at....
I walked the jackal on a lead, like it was a pet. However,Mr. Man gave it commands and it obeyed VERY carefully. It cowered at his voice. We were looking for something, the jackal was leading me...

Yeah,I didn't see a man with a jackal head tho. Just the animal itself. I was not allowed to gaze upon the man who commanded it.
