However, in what I said, and not just pertaining to this particular subject only, why should others not be able to post something because of one persons view on the subject or because they don't like it or don't want to see it. I do believe that others feelings should be taken into consideration and not blantently disregarded; however for one person to request a ban on a forum as large as CH, of any type, is truly asinine. I mean I would understand if it was inappropriate things or illegal things, but I mean really. I dunno, just my two cents for whatever it's worth. lol

Well as for me, and I have done this quite a few times, if I come across something that I would rather not read or a picture I would rather not look at, then I just don't, because in a forum this big, there are going to be things that we don't like, and some will say they don't like it and quite frankly that is their right to voice how they feel, while others will just move on to something different!!!!

If it is really ugly and not right, then I am sure Magnolia or Ash will make sure it is taken down!!!

Well, then you should ask them so that there is certainty on the subject.

Thats an excellent question Starfire, I don't have the answer, but nevertheless with the amount of "push-back" here and now, it must be popular. If this situation ahd come up when I was at University....it would probably create one "Uuuuuh thats aweful" and another saying "boriiiing" and that would be the end of it along with "lets sign this thing and get to Dunster Hall before the food line gets long..." and nothing more. Is this a genration of "Deer in the Headlights" or of Domination using Image Ugliness" I don't know, but I think your question is very important. Thanks. C-

There is no easy answer, I could see if it was done like Magnolia and Ash did with the pictures that they posted, but for a joke or as something funny, that I don't get, and I am just being honest is all!!! Oh your two cents is worth a lot!!!! :thumbup:
I don't get it either....SOmetimes I wonder whether many lovers would rather have pictures of their lover being hit by a car rather than a nice night in bed. - and the visual desire goes into secondary elaboration and becomes an interest in Snuff Films, etc....don't know...but this is the first generation that really digs gore....or they simply wouldn't care as much as the do....Sometimes, too much caring has more than one meaning to it....But who knows? Its a mystery to me.

They do actually.- the only way not to glorify violence is to warn a person, present a news article as a warning, or condemn it. There is no neutrality in violence. And the glorification of violence can be humour as well as a number of other ways. But This goes far beyond one person's childish an unthinking attitude, it goes to Future Prevention, and (sadly) I can guarantee that when the CH Forum becomes an open source for violence...it will come suddenly and quickly the majority her in this thread and several others, is the minority in the CH Forum - and as mentioned earlier a vote or pole will only have the "Wow we are more worried about losing our ability to see gore and truly unpleasant on one site at a time when Slasher Sites are becoming a subgroup - and do you think most objectors will even vote? No. Rightly or Wrongly, and without tight fugures the Pros For Gore have defined themselves as the majority on CH Forum....and if this group's self-definition of majority wins, CH Forum loses....I don't want to see that.....I

But a last question here, Will you support me posting Gore on CH? Or am I in a different category of popularity etc even when I would post something that so far has been fiercely defended. I ask for an answer. And if its Yes, I will deliver "the good stuff" and post it

(Phobias of clowns are serious stuff. One 6 yo boy who went to the same after school centre as my son 10 years ago became so distressed when a clown came to entertain his class that he had to be hospitalised & sedated. No one had any idea up til then, poor kid.)
