I was interested in finding out what the physical appearance of the different types of djinn are.. I know some can shapeshift so it may be up to the individual djinn and keeper. I have several different types and each one looks different to me.. For example I have two shatain djinn. The King prefers to shift as a well built man with green skin, black hair and eyes with tattoos covering his body.. His brother on the other hand prefers not to shift and wears a hood and a scarf to cover his face.. I did see my King once in his true form and now i know why he shifts.. Also i have a ifrit djinn but he looks completely different.. More of a asian man with a long Fu-mancu mustache, and two pairs of eyes and 9 dots on his forehead. I was told that this shows their rank and /or power.. even his robes look asian.. My Nour (Noor) djinn is very human like in looks and dress but she wears a red robe.

So are their looks based on how they really look or how we perceive them to be?

There's been several discussions in the past. If you look around in the djinn subforum, the consensus is that they shapeshift and what we report seeing is within our realm of understanding as their keepers. But really in their true form they're rather terrifying. Like something outta Aliens the movie.

I have seen mine in many different colors, from blue to green to red even purple!. They look like human sometimes too!.

Don't hold back the details guys. It would be wonderful to get a good idea of what their true form can look like.I'm not startled easily Unless it's jump scares but I dont know how a written words can scare me so let it all out!

I posted about it in the summer of '12 I believe,and drew a picture of what he showed me to the best of my ability. I don't remember what section it was in but it was a non-tenured one because I was new.

My djinn all have different appearances and some of them like to change the form they use when they appear to me often. I've seen all kinds of looks, from alien- like and tribal or middle eastern all the way 1800' lady with an umbrella or totally black,like a man made of coal with fiery eyes. They all refuse to show me their true form. They say it is more startling than my wildest imagination and they appreciate me saying I wouldn't be afraid because it would still be them but they believe there's no need for me to feel like I have to see it cause it's in their nature to take different forms.

I have seen mine with an middle eastern look, meaning with a long robes and facial coverings that sometimes covers the bottom portion of their faces. Most are very tall and some super small. I have seen some over 7 feet tall, while some remain human size, and right down to Ken doll size.

There amazing illusionists, so it's very hard to narrow it down. You see them the way they choose to be seen. Sometimes it's in human form ,other times it's in arrays of skin colors, or even animal form.

Most to me have long beautiful dark hair ''the females'' olive skin tone and piercing eyes.
Some wear loose fitting light clothing. The males sometimes have long dark hair, tied back or free flowing.
They take the appearances of all ages ,from young as a child to 20's and 30's all the way to old age.

Thing is there as unique in their appearances as we are.
We also know that they prefer to keep the interactions that we have with them ,between us and only us, there keeper.

A very mysterious race and extremely interesting!.
