Also, it should be noted that Cults have two ways of "selling" themselves that are the "roadways" of delivering the message:

Soft Sell - "You are better than...." followed by "I really shouldn't have said that, its unfair, but...."

Hard Sell: Some version of "You should move away from X (a friend or lover, brother or sister, etc) because they don't like you, appreciate you, listen to you, help you, and never make you happy....but look....we are making you happy..."

And of course "The God/Goddess Du Jour.....either loves you and wonders why you don't exploit his/her wonders".......or "The God/Goddess Du Jour....is really disappointed in you. DOn't you want to be like us....etc....etc"

And always - Leader and Enforcer - There is alway a Dual-Person Start. - One Dazzles - the Other Soothes....or One is disappointed....the Other Blames...

In terms of Arguments or Discussions...the Leader and/or Enforcer, always offers Ambiguiation with humour, people relax, no decision needs to be made "just yet".....(implied) but it will come back later..


These are basically verbal massages for the emotions, and either thru fear and presented unknowing or a sense of relief from fear or unknowing, with some kind of quiet, small, "Happy Face".....

I think informational threads are great, however, if they make references to past drama it negates the purposefulness of the thread. Any baiting that goes on between members or threads to incite further discussion of any past drama will have action exacted immediately. We, and I speak for the entire Forum, have exhausted our patience with the ongoing discussion of cakes, cannibalism, ugliness, and the like. Everyone needs to move on, stop engaging each other (directly or indirectly), and discuss issues relevant to this Forum; the paranormal.
