In CH's definition, BA doesn't has free will, can only choose to do bad things.

The soul-eating tree will not harm friends, so it's not BA.

CH's definition, at least as I understand, is a being that cannot be reasoned with, only knows destruction and hatred. And will only bring pain and misery to you.
The tree of souls is Dark DA, as dark as they come, yes. And Vengeance, well, Vengeance is as dark as his keeper allows him to be.

Yep yep! My "Beast Within" seems at darkest dark! *looks at it* My past life memories are returning, and I can only say "DOH!" 1hd

I am more on the white side. I do keep some DA and have a few hags and harpies, but that is the darkest. Most of the spirits I gravitate to are white, such as angels and fae.

Mmm too dark for me is when there's a small voice asking, "don't you think that's too dark for you now?" Then go on researching the lore and feedback, especially look for two different opinions. And after conclusion, if the voice still asks, then it's too dark, for now.
I'd like to balance it with lighter one as well, so I can still enjoy rainbowy fluffy cat:)
