Talking Outloud?

So I have a problem where I end up..talking outloud to my companions and people look at me weird. How do you guys go about handling those situations?

I always talk out loud, when I'm at home. You can contact them telepathically (in your mind). Try to address them directly. That makes it much easier.

While there isn’t anything inherently wrong with that, I think that’s gotten more than one user on this forum in front of a doctor or an exorcist that was not of their own choosing. Be careful

I'm the exact opposite, I have to do everything telepathically just cause I've heard so many benefits from others about it. It's an ongoing process but I get funny looks when I laugh or stare off in the middle of the grocery aisle.

Still I recommend telepathy will really help with not drawing too much attention

I have the opposite issue... I’m always trying to focus on telepathy to avoid those situations. I feel ridiculous talking out loud to my companions when I’m not seeing them, so that helps.

Though I have always had a habit of talking to myself, especially when annoyed so if anyone looked at me strange, I’d say “What, never talked to yourself before? It’s how I vent, lemme alone.” And they usually find it funny and less weird then lol.

I deff have found myself having to explain my random giggle when someone passes by me, more often than my “talking to myself”... my moms especially nosey if she hears me laugh, always asking me what’s so funny, and I have to come up with some witty random thing I thought was funny in response. Strangers usually ignore me if I’m being weird xD

Or always have a mobile phone headphone and mic on? Pretend you're on the phone talking to someone? They couldn't get away with that in the middle ages but we can now. 1la

LOL That's thinking on your feet.

I almost always talk out loud, even when they talk telepathically. Sometimes I just mutter real soft when I don't want to be overheard by someone nearby.

What's more fun is laughing for no reason. That's hard to avoid when you see something really funny in your mind's eye.

Or say to others you were impersonating something you saw on youtube, or just amusing yourself doing self joke.

Many reasons can be made up and taken as 'normal' excuse when talking to self.

On laughing out of the blue too, one can say he was remembering a funny scene/old joke, and tell some random joke if someone pushing it.

Hello,
Reminds me of my first time in spirit keeping. I did not know what constitutes bonding. So, I often talk to my keeps about the day, when no one is around, of course, lol.

One day, I was in the car waiting for my family coming out of the mall, so I took chance to talk to the keeps. When I saw myself talking by myself, in the rear mirror, I was really sad, lol. I stopped talking to my keeps from then on. I only send telephatic messages to my keeps now, though however unsuccessful. But that's another topic .
