Ok HOPEFULLY I worded that right, and I'm sure there has to be an answer on the forum already but I can't find it

So, my question is regarding class levels and specifically, protection. Is a c5t3 better than a c4 concerning protection from unbounds, etc? Or does the class system deal mostly with OUR connection to our keep, and all are equally capable of dealing with nasty things, etc?

It doesn't affect them as the rating is not on the spirits themselves but rather the binding. So a higher class spirit or spell has a stronger presence than a lower class one. There is a "class and energy rating" section in the listings that explained more on each class

For clarification, that is how I was taking it, but when it comes to my protection, I just wanted to be sure!

So you're saying that my level 4 Courtwind's protection is every bit as strong and powerful as a Dynamic or C5T3? I need to add the other 3 so this is useful information for me lol

Yes, as power depends wholly on the spirits themselves, not on how they are bound.

Honestly the rating thing never really had much an effect at all, a low tier one can have as much energy as a "high" tier one. Learn just the same as either tier. I find it's more of a marketing thing UNLESS it's servitors because servitors do require upgrades but entities or "spirits" do not since they can simply learn and develop on their own.
