That's a great idea Sooty! If you can connect with Buddha or Guan Yin then maybe they will give you more guidance on the matter.

If you want to connect with them, start by learning more about them and their philosophies and guiding principles. (You may already know this stuff but dig deeper) Really get a feel for what they mean. Search for them, practice them, learn from them and when you feel ready to pose your question, ask and listen.

They might not respond to you immediately and it might not be in a way that you expect but if you remain open to their energies, they'll ultimately let you know what they think about it.

And who knows, maybe you'll be bringing home a kitsune with you soon!

Yeah well, about that. Told her about my concerns but it seemed like i was ignored. Maybe i should give her some time. In the mean time, I just asked my personal amulets. Hopefully they will give me an answer as well. I'm so torn between getting it and just "screw it, too much work" and give up

Not sure whether this info will help in any way but just in case its useful...you kind of have a choice between actual Kitsune (grey/dark arts) and Chinese Foxes (white arts).

Chinese fox spirits are classified by Creepy Hollows as White Arts (ie inherently 'good', well behaved, do not choose to do harm and avoid doing wrong.

Whereas Kistune are classified as 'grey' (dark arts). In the CH Encyclopaedia it says "Despite their deviant behavior and love of playing pranks they are guardians who are always faithful and become close friends with their Keeper and family."

I didnt know there were Chinese foxes. But from what people are saying here about Chinese foxes are that they aren't very vocal.

It would be good if theres more information about their behaviour and personalities.

And I did have a dream last night. For some reason i started to see a lot of foxes in my dreams. I even managed to touch a fox plushie and its tail. I can vividly remember the texture. It's like soft and smooth almost like alcantara.

A kitsune and hulijing are two different species of foxes. The hulijing is GA and the kitsune is DA.

The CH encyclopedia describes the differences between the two species.

I have several kitsunes and they are wonderful creatures to have in your keep.

I'm most likely going to pick the Chinese fox. Idk about the bonding process tho. Hopefully it isnt as shy as people said about chinese foxes
