Getting Back Into the Spirit of Spirit Keeping

I have a confession to make.

I, Olivia, am a hopeless flitter of interests.

Since I had the ability to decide what burned me with excitement and what I could not possibly be more meh about, I have run ablaze nonstop from one thing to the next, balancing an endless countertop of hobbies and passion projects.

For a while, it felt like the world of magick was one of those things, something I'd come back to and remember fondly. And I do, absolutely. But it goes above and beyond. I find myself once again back where I started, plunging further into my spirituality and spirit keeping, with a forum of eager new neophytes and seasoned sanctified members.

It felt disrespectful to call it a passing hobby ever, for it to join the likes of cord making or poetry writing. I knew that even as I grew wary of the way human beings held certain beliefs, I knew what I experienced must have had some element of truth to it. The giant phoenix looking bird that landed in my tiny suburban backyard when I opened my first package of spirit vessels. The marble sized blue and red orbs I saw when I opened my second. The dreams, the visions, the communications.

So yesterday I logged into Creepy Hollows with the intention to be a more active contributor and brought out the vessels of my three most memorable companions. My Arabian djinn, my gryphon, and my courtwind angel. I don't think I ever really stopped with the connection to my spirits but it just wasn't as intentional. I also didn't post on CH, which I loved doing so much!

I wanted to share all of this for those that may be lurking or for those that just wanted to take a read. It's easy to bounce back from a break from anything if it's something you're truly passionate about. I don't know where my journey with spirit keeping will go and I'm not sure if anyone really does. Overall, I'm excited to officially get back into things on this forum and revisit some very familiar parts of the Internet, haha. I'm also hoping that I get a chance to deepen my understanding of my spirits personally.

My writing is rusty and a little all over the place but I just felt so happy to be here more actively again! I have always lurked from time to time but it truly is not the same as setting up cookie stands or spending hours writing threads. I hope CH is ready once more for me!
