LHP vs RHP

The end desired outside is the same. Why would anyone want to prefer the white over the black or black over the white path/magick. Also where do you guys think dark arts or magick falls into place here?

For eg. Mainly status, wealth, love & sex
Which i would say each path would have a different flavour of obtained desired outcome.

First of all, it's definitely not a choice between WA and Black Arts. And LHP is not a path of BA and aligning with evil, malevolence & causing destruction. LHP is basically Dark Arts. Dark Arts are also not about achieving aims through malevolent, destructive, evil energies, beings and means. DA has its own energy, different to WA. It's our choice as humans to not do wrong.

The dichotomy or choice is between WA & DA.

'Preference' may not be it exactly. 'Alignment' might be a better word. But, yes, based on alignment we'll have preferences. Over time we get a sense of where we are on that DA/WA scale; what our energy & personality is like.

The CH view is that all humans are DA. One word used for that is 'duplicitous'. That word doesn't just mean deceptive.

So as humans we can choose to do right or wrong. And we can use both WA & DA approaches, even if we lean heavily towards one. In fact it's probably quite healthy for us to have some DA beings as a WA Keeper, maybe light grey ones, eg Gargoyles & Psy Vampires. And vice versa for DA/LHP followers.

On a side note - others may chip in here - I think the idea of what the label of LHP means is forever changing. This Wikipedia article, which you may have read, summarises that neatly.

Not sure I see it that way.

If you've won millions on a lottery, your bank account balance has the same figure, whether you used DA or WA methods to help win it.

'Tone' - I think it's the tone of our lives that is affected by the energy. I find that when using the WA or DA energy gathering spells in the CH Great Guidance books on WA or DA. I may see and feel a lot of soft, white, supportive light and energy around me after I've done WA energy gathering and darker, sort of warmer energy around me after the DA one.

So for me the energy and tone of my subjective experience is where the difference lies.

And there must be quite a few people like me who are eclectic and who resist being labelled neatly as LHP or RHP. I pick and choose for myself.

If I say I don't believe in the Abrahamic idea of God and don't feel obliged to follow all conventions, want to decide for myself and have power over my own life...it may sound like I'm stereotypically LHP. But I'm mainly WA-leaning and have worked far more with WA-type energies than DA. That doesn't make me RHP either. Most of my life I've been on the alternative, counter culture side, in opposition to a lot of conventions.

This was very helpful to me right now as well because I am waiting to get approved to look into this subgroup called LHP. I don't identify as one, but as you said, I am not totally RHP either.

But it might be something interesting going on in there so I try to get access to it. Anyway, that is why I like your replies. Right to the point ... Thanks @Lewk .

I see things a little different than most wa to ba. If you manipulate the energy to do what you want your intention will make it good or evil however to even use ba. Ignoring the situation you put yourself dealing with ba. I think ash or magnolia I didn't see who wrote it. But they explain the risks

The concepts of the Left-Hand Path and Right-Hand Path are terms widely used in Western esotericism, which itself covers various groups involved in the occult and ceremonial magic.

The Right-Hand Path (RHP) typically emphasizes on divine activities such as ascending one's soul towards the divine, a belief in a higher power, altruism, and the focus on self-denial or self-abnegation.

The Left-Hand Path (LHP) is marked by an emphasis on individualism, self-realization, and personal power. Adherents generally focus on personal growth and the development of personal powers.

In Western esotericism, there doesn't seem to be a specific "Middle Path." However, the concept closely aligns with Buddhist philosophy. In Buddhism, the Middle Path describes the path that reconciles the duality of existence. The Middle Path would be a balance of the two, emphasizing moderation and harmony.

Many people fail to recognize that they are inherently inclined towards the LHP from the very beginning. This is because they prioritize their own personal growth first and foremost. Therefore, it is more about focusing on 'self' rather than distinguishing between Dark Arts, Black Arts, or White Arts.

I gave a link for an article on that. It's not a definition that's set in stone. In fact what it means to those who use that self-defining label and to those who write about what it means seem to have changed over time. (Buddhist use of similar terms has always been a different matter.)

ooooo, thank you. what about the MHP? if you tell me its in the link i swear to god.... lol j/k!!!!!!!!

maybe i am a buddhist? not in the traditional since but just the idea of rigid paths one or the other. gah. im assuming you mean the buddhist path as in there is a thousand ways to enlightenment not just 1 or 2. if i am assuming wrong i am sorry but that is my idea, belief. why I have never judged the dark side or even the people that follow the black arts. I may not agree with them but I dont judge. if that makes sense? everyone has their own way. their own very unique way of how they experience things. of the white arts people that freak the bleep out if you dare talk about the darker arts or even grey arts for that is the devil! - I just dont find that to be my truth honestly. why I feel having dark spirits or LE with literally angels in my keep. and i have repeatedly told them i find daulity to be a weakness in my keep that they should respect each other and use their different skills together to make them stronger not to play the classical game they feel they are part of. how they recieved this message is beyond me but I do not think they fight or argue. they know not to. i hope im making some sense?
