Spells to stop thinking/ Ruminating

Is there a spell to get you to stop thinking about a specific topic or to stop ruminating on it? I have a disorder that makes me ruminate on things and usually this isn't an issue but when I get stuck on a negative or unwanted topic it causes problems. Does the spell to forget something work in this case. I don't want to forget the info, I just want to stop thinking about it.

I would ask CH support about this. They know their own resources better than any of us.

Of course, as the Forum rules say, the thing to do is seek professional medical help with all health-related matters, which would include disorders involving problematic rumination.

Once that's in place, I'd think complementary spiritual /paranormal help might well assist as an add-on. But in my opinion nothing paranormal is a magic bullet and when it comes to psychological self help or personal development, I find nothing substitutes for putting the work in myself.

For me, using things like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques and doing shadow work is a valuable life tool that neither spirits nor spells can replace. But together it all adds up and can reach a point of synergy.

Some crystals that help with this would be:

Morganite - this one can make people feel safe and cheers them up energetically. Known for calming anxiousness or racing thoughts. It's soothing.

Malachite + Labradorite worn on the body is very psychically protective and no nonsense.

Red Obsidian (or Mahogany Obsidian) helps with grounding and silencing excessive chatter in the mind. Stress relief. Honestly maybe get lots of this.

All of those would be good to have and see which ones (or all) work best for you. Some work well synergistically.

You can find them cheap on aliexpress. Be sure you check the malachite is real as the real stuff won't have any black in it.

After you cleanse and charge them via whatever method of your choosing, just instruct them with what you would like them to help you with and protect you from.
Either wear them or keep them near where you work, or just put many around your home.


If you're brave enough, black obsidian can help you cleanse and do shadow work and possibly get to the bottom of your issues, but this is an intense stone and only work with it when you feel you're really ready. It can really open any and all wounds and bleed out your issues to clean up any risidual poison in you. But be careful with that, use your own discernment if you think you should take that step.

Not a spell per se, but I have a few pieces of advice:

First is something I learned from my therapist. I used to have severe issues with intrusive thoughts due to PTSD (still do on occasion).

Visualize or feel yourself inside a train car (or a car, or horse carriage, anything that moves that had windows). Reaffirm to yourself that you are safe and protected inside the train car. It is your eye of the storm, essentially. Push what's bothering you outside the windows, so it's not in the enclosed space with you. This helps your brain put "distance" between you and the situation/thought/feelings. Observe it, name it, thank it for being there, but tell it you don't need it anymore, you are safe and protected and calm without it. You aren't engaging in the thought or feelings, you are simply observing them. Once you feel ready, let it slip past the window and into the Great Unknown, away from you. Let it go, let it pass by, don't hold onto it.

At first, you may need to repeat this process dozens of times in an hour as those thoughts come up. It will be difficult, and do not shame yourself or get upset if you fail. You are rewriting your brain's 'programs' like this and it doesn't happen overnight.

The more you put practice into this, your brain will gradually rewire it's anxiety patterns and it'll be easier and faster to let go of those repeated thoughts and intense feelings.

Second, you can ask your spirit companions to help distract you from those thoughts as you tell your brain, "That is not a constructive thought, I release it with gratitude in my heart." My companions often put a fun song in my head to help let go of the thoughts and replace the negative feelings with positivity.

I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with this problem. It sounds like you are ruminating on something, which is a mental process where we think about a specific topic over and over again. There are many reasons for this, but usually you can find a better outcome if you just think about what happened and try to figure out what went wrong. Sometimes we have to let go of the past and move on without obsessing over our mistakes.
You can lessen the impact of negative thinking by asking for a custom spell to negate some of the energy. You could also ask your spirit family to help you with the issues. However, it's important to learn how to let go so that you don't fall into a pattern of negative thinking.
