I read 2 of Susan Hubbard's books a few years ago- "The Society of S" and "The Year of Disappearance's". This was before I found CH, and was basically starting to collect enchanted items. These two books are about a young girl growing up and becoming aware that she is very different from others. Her father is a vampire, he was turned, and I believe her mother is human. But her Dad uses a blood substitute to feed, and some drink, I forget what it's called that vampires are supposed to really like. I think I'll get them from the library again, they were pretty interesting. In the second book, she finds her mother, and reunites with her.
