You know you can control your dreams, I'm 27 and haven't had a nightmare since I was probably 14. Are you talking about human spirits?

In that case they seem to want to mess with someone instead... Well... in most cases... I think.... Could also be an misunderstanding....

From what I've read of the Creepy Hollows articles and posts on this, the idea is that there have always been vast numbers of unbound spirits around all the time, most of whom pass us by and have no interest in us.

Some unbounds do take an interest in us. The thing to do is have protection measures in place to keep out any malicious unbounds or energies. And you can ask any non-malicious unbounds to kindly not give nightmares or lose you sleep. And you can even task your specialist protection spirits to keep all uninvited unbounds away from you and your home or places of sleep, if you want.

(You can task spirit companions who are not specialist protection types as well but in my opinion it's very worthwhile having the help of specialist ones.)

The standard recommended house rule on unbounds is: "Engage unbounds and report". Some people prefer to not be bothered by any unbounds, while others are happy for non-malicious ones to visit.

We have the right to ask any spirits in our home to respect our sleep.
