I thought I'd post some kudos for Winged Wolf Psion. I ordered the Coyote Pack Vehicle Guardian Servitor on sale, and the Money Drawing Amulet at the same time.

They're here! My package arrived this morning. I love the Coyote Pack, and they couldn't have arrived at a more fortuitous time, as we have had bad winter weather this week and the roads are still icy. I was pleasantly amused to drive with them today, and perceive the instructions from the Alpha personality that amounted to some extremely defensive driving (which I would normally employ anyway, especially with stealth ice patches hiding on the roads): "And now slow down... and now start braking for that red light (3/4 of a block away)...". Meanwhile, there were two separate instances during my commute where some overly-aggressive drivers, who were making me nervous by either tailgating or cutting into traffic with zero margin for error, each decided to get out of my lane entirely and pass my car. I prefer drivers like that to be in front of me, where I can see them and keep the heck away from them. That goes double for drivers who are reckless on roads with random patches of ice/snow, so I'm filing those two moments where the aggressive drivers Went Away in the WIN column.

Incidentally, I have a few metaphysical orders that I placed at around the same time, with different sellers. The Coyote Pack's package arrived first, even though bad weather has blanketed a large part of North America this week. I am going to presume it's because they were defending the various vehicles that the parcel was being shipped in.

Oh, and YAY to the Money Drawing Amulet, too. Today, I found out an issue with two fouled-up and non-sent paychecks might be resolved next week, rather than having to wait two weeks until the next normal pay period. This is a company whose stated policy is to not send checks on a non-pay week, but it looks like they are going to bend that rule this time. It's not in my nature to say, "Now let me run to the nearest casino and try my luck" :lol: , but just the fact that my employer is willing to bend rules on my behalf is a big win, in my book.

This is my first experience with servitors, and I must say, I am a very pleased customer. I'm seeing positive things happen and I've only had the vessels in my possession for 12 hours. I had intended to let the vessel live in my car, and I might do that eventually, but just now I am going to keep it on my person. The roads are full of ice, and I am going to alternate between being a driver and being a passenger in the next few days -- I want ANY vehicle I'm in to benefit from the Coyote Pack, not just the car I own.

They all sound great!

Earlier this week, while I was driving, they specifically told me to make my left turn a couple blocks sooner than I normally would have done, because "traffic is going to be bad on Broad Street", where I normally make the turn. I heard it. CLEARLY. But being hard-headed, I thought, "But turning here makes my distance longer. How bad could the traffic get?" and I kept going.

Bad decision. When I arrived at that intersection, suddenly cars were changing lanes all over the place to get out of the way of two oncoming fire engines. I could hear the fire trucks, but they were in my blind spot so I wasn't sure where they were. (This is a city street with lots of brick buildings causing echoes, so it gets hard to spot the direction from which the siren is approaching.) I started to change lanes, following the car in front of me, and nearly put myself right into the path of the lead fire truck. Fortunately, I was going slowly enough to stop and prevent a collision. When the fire engines were gone, I went to make my left turn, and was nearly cut off by the person making a left turn of their own in the adjacent lane. So that was TWO near-misses in the space of about 15 seconds.

See what happens when you don't listen to your Coyotes? I apologized and told them that I will listen to their advice from now on.

Then there was tonight. I get home late from work (after 11 PM) on Fridays. I arrived to find that a stranger's car was in my normal parking spot in front of my house. I was not amused. I wound up parking halfway down the street (did I mention I wasn't amused). I happen to have a webcam facing out the front window, and an app on an iDevice tuned into it all the time. I told the Coyotes to keep an eye on my car, AND to let me know if my regular parking place opened up. Then I logged on the computer and caught up on emails, etc.

UNTIL I got the clear directive, "Look at the webcam!" So I did, just in time to see the stranger's car's brake lights come on, as they were preparing to pull out of that parking place. I thanked the Coyotes and went right out to move my car into its normal spot, the moment that other car left.

These are the results I'm getting with them, and they only JUST arrived a few days ago. Imagine what'll happen as the rapport strengthens over time?

Watch This Space. Now I have a Cat Familiar servitor to squee over. She just arrived today, along with an amulet.

I already had a cat familiar servitor from Annika Rogue, and now one from WWP. I have told them to work as a team and teach one another. I figure that since they were created by different practitioners, they will have different stores of knowledge to draw from, so why not have them both learning from each other?

She only just got here, but I've already benefited from the WWP familiar's Soothing Purr ability, which is one of the special features of this guardian. This was, to understate the matter tremendously, an immensely stressful day. I could hear her purring with my mind's ear, and it helped me get my stress levels under control.
