The spirits/entities are not valued at the binding sale price point, a spirit/entity would come forward for you regardless if the conjuror was asking $1 or $1000 and the impression I get is that they do not care about the money exchange part. It seems to be the practitioner requiring a return from you for their time and effort, like any skill we sell our time and expertise for money in this world.
Personally, I would be far more suspicious of people charging ridiculously high prices as this would be far more profitable for false sellers and require much less maintenance and upkeep than offering services at low prices.

My journey with 'portal' technologies is still in its infancy, but I can attest to the legitimacy of them. I have other portals from a vetted conjurors and from CH, and TheYogaPunk's stand toe-to-toe with them.
My companions also say they are all on the level--even so much as to ban me from purchasing some of them, lol.
And damn, at those 'grand opening' prices, they can't be beat!

No, not allowed, lol. The beings I was eyeing up at the time were kinda demonic--and my keep has a firm stance on that.
Well, in so much as if I do get something of that nature, certain companions have promised to eat them. (No, i'm not kidding. We had a bad experience with an unbound of the demon race early on. Left a bad taste in some mouths, and, well, a good taste in others.)
I have since purchased several companion bindings from her-a fairy, couple dragons, unicorn, a couple dire wolves--and can attest to their legitimacy. Even at those 'prices' they are companions that are treasures to be cherished.
(She is trying to make fast cash to pay fast bills that have been pilling up--kind of a rough spot to be in, and I emphasize with her, by the way.)
