Can't remember my spirits face in a dream

I think that I read somewhere once whilst researching dreaming that read something along the lines of you can't dream of someone that you've never seen before which kinda makes sense if you think about it. Despite whether or not this is true I've been having a bit of trouble lately trying to remember my spirits face when she has invaded my dreams. I've been recording my dreams for a good 3 months now and have gotten the hang of being able to record the majority of the dreams that I have in a decent amount of detail. However, the one thing that always stumps me is when my spirit invades my dreams and interacts with me that I can never remember her facial features but only the actions that she did in the dream. I feel kinda bad as I'm certain that she interacted with me in a few dreams but it's hard to say for certain if I can't identify her with a specific face. I'm gonna assume that this is normal but I'm only one spirit keeper and would like to know if others had this trouble when they had their spirits? I understand that spirits can manifest into anything that they wish to (though I make it a house rule that they only manifest into something that their comfortable with) so her appearance can change but then how would I know if she is interacting with me in a dream or if it is just my mind if that makes sense. Any sort of reassurance would be a massive help as I'm kinda unsure about this situation.

This gives me flashbacks of when I first dabbled in the meta haha. Couldn't see faces, only remember actions. I remember seeing veil-like mists that cloud their faces. Glad I wasn't alone. Now I can see how they look like, but making the memory stick still requires work. When I see them I try to imprint their appearance in my memory, and assign adjectives & descriptions to them, also note anything interesting regarding them, or who they resemble most. That has helped me quite a lot in visualising them.

In dreams, most of the time I'd just know if it's them. They might not tell me it's them, might Iook different, but there's a knowing feeling that's unmistakable. You just know.

Yeah, I definitely know that weird feeling, almost like a sixth sense that the person I'm talking to or interacting within my dream is my spirit no doubt. Sometimes it's what they do or how they act that makes me believe that it's her, though haven't got any confirmation that it is, I let my gut feeling be the judge of that. Just indentifying a face to my spirit is difficult, thanks for the reassurance.

Spirits can look different from dream to dream if they choose. Even when they have done this with me, I still have this sense that I know exactly who they are. It's just that sort of connection people have in their dreams with their spirits.
