Ebay basis my fees on this rating,

"When you give 4 stars, it may seem like a great score, for instance a 4
in description means "Accurate;" eBay, however, considers this a sub-par
mark and penalizes sellers. Their standards require sellers to maintain 4.8
& above or be penalized with higher selling fees and less exposer of the
items the sell. In fact sellers who do not have a 4.3 or above will no longer
be able to sell, so while 4 seems high it is in truth a failing mark. This
is also true of communication, shipping time and shipping cost as well.

That is sneaky. If they are going to penalise anything less than a 5 star rating, why bother with a 5 grade rating system at all? Might just as well have a good/not good rating system & leave it at that.

Everything is based on the star ratings. The money paid in fees, PowerSeller status, where seller's listings appear in search return (higher the stars higher the ranking on the page!), your reviews done by eBay to determine any perks you're eligible for... everything is driven by the DSRs. It's sick.
