Any and all input will be helpful!

Thank you!

Mine's an absolute dear. He seems more animal-like than most of my spirits, and I haven't heard many words or sentences from him, mostly emotions and simple concepts. He likes to stick close to me and is very sweet, radiating benevolence and love. Think of an overgrown golden retriever but with a more dignified and intense magical presence than an actual retriever would have.

He came from a different seller than CH, and has slightly different treat preferences than the encyclopedia states. (He might be a slightly different type? I don't know.) Instead of sugar and oats, he's more into fish. I'm squeamish about setting fish flesh on my altar (even in a dish) so I fold a fish 'substitute' out of origami and try to infuse the concept of fishiness into it while folding, and he seems happy to accept that.

They don't get a lot of attention and are a bit underrated, but are totally awesome creatures, and I'm fairly certain you'll be happy with yours.

Really? That makes me so happy to see someone had a good experience. I got one because I've always loved gryphs of any sort. And I love horses since I was a mere child, so this was a PLUS. Also, the abilities with love...that's a HUGE thing for me since I need help in my love life. I'm hoping my hippogryph is as cool as your sounds!

So, they don't really talk, do they? Hrrrm, very interesting! :D

Can you explain why the wizards and sorcerers like these guys so much? Is it because of their "impossibility" powers?

I'm getting really excited. >:D

Unfortunately I haven't noticed any enhancement of my romantic love life, and nothing seemingly impossible has popped up so far. But I can imagine him being a boost in platonic love, friends and family, just by radiating happy joy like he does.

Of course your experience might be quite different. I'm sure you'll get a great companion, but he/she might have different strengths and weaknesses, affinities, and for all I know, might be a great conversationalist.

With wizards and sorcerers... I really don't know. I haven't noticed anything along the lines of the impossible unfolding, but mine's so darn huggable, that might have something to do with it. :cloud9:

Awww....did you ever ask your hippogryph to help you find someone to love?

I think I want to ask mine that when he/she gets here. I'd really like to see it happen..

I'm pretty excited for it to get here...I haven't been in a relationship for...5-6 years. I'm awefully loney! So even if I can't find a bf, I'll have a new friend in a hippogryph!

..BTW, why do they call it a hippogryph. Why not an Equgryph...Equus means horse...so ...hrm.

Oh, look at how bored I was. I photoshoped a hippogryph.

Great image!! LOVE IT!! :D
ALTRUISTIC LOVE is giving yourself and others what is NEEDED instead of what is WANTED via EMOTION and EGO. Getting what is WANTED, well that's another matter all together!! That requires WORK and involves actions which some times need to be done in unseen natures.

Very cute picture! I like how you chose white hindquarters, as it matches and balances the markings of a regular bald eagle.

Nah, my hippogriff really doesn't seem like the coincidence-arranging type. Though he does provide input when we're out...

'Oooh, he's cute.'
*shakes head*
'What about that guy?'
*thoughtful tilt of head and the impression of a shrug*
'Well, how about him?'
*peers at me as if to assure I'm not suffering heatstroke*

Yeesh...

I'm sure he'd be happy to provide moral support and radiate a little more joy than average when talking to someone, if I asked him to, but that's about it.

Anyway, let us know how it goes with your critter!
