Hello! I'm thinking about adding a dragon to my new family of spirits, and while I was thinking about the different types and browsing through the store, I saw listings for Hybrid dragons that are blends of two different colors of Western dragons. I was curious, do the Hybrids have the full traits of both of their parents, or do they have limitations (I know they all have limitations of some sort and that certain colors specialize in certain areas), and would their associations be a blending of the colors of the parents? Such as a Viridian (Silver/Green), would one be drawn to both moonstone and jade per the Encyclopedia listing for the two parent colors?

Anyone have any experiences or stories for these guys, and if there's already a thread for them, would someone be kind enough to point me in that direction? I'm browsing, but the information is very overwhelming sometimes.

I have several and I would have to say that it depends entirely on the individual dragon. I have an orange--a blend of red and gold--and he definitely has stronger red traits than gold. You could request that you would like one that balances the traits of both colors. They are definitely interesting.

The hybrids have both qualities. But most of mine have stronger one way or the other. Also the hybrids have their own associations. The Veridian's stone is bloodstone. Sage is right with a custom you can ask for exactly what you want in a hybrid, well any spirit for that matter. Also if you come up with colors that are not in the enc. you can still have a custom conjure of one. They will give you their assoc. when you purchase it.

As I stated in a related post, I just put in a request for a custom hybrid not listed in the Encyclopedia... I spent probably an hour reading over all the variations, and realized I wanted a black dragon but wasn't sure I'd be comfortable with a DA spirit... after reading that the silvers are cheerful, happy, love humans, and are bringers of good luck... I envisioned the perfect black hybrid being a silver/black hybrid. This isn't listed anywhere, but I'd like to think these almost polar opposite-sounding traits (black dragons vs. silver dragons) can exist in one spirit To me, the silver/black combo represents balance.. at least that is my gut feeling. Not sure what the elders of these forums think?

You know, I was thinking about that last night because I thought about a purple and white hybrid.. I liked the qualities of a purple mixed with the qualities of a white, and then realized that meant technically red, blue and white...= lavendar dragons?

I remember a while back discussing this with someone else on the forum. And that is what I called it, a triple hybrid. I do not think I ever got an answer about that. But if it can be done I guarantee CH can do it. HMMMM see now I am all curious again. lol

I guess this would be the best place to ask this...

What are the specific associations of Divine Dragons? (Divine is the Gold/Black Hybrid)

I can't find anything in the encyclopedia. Granted, I can't find anything on any */Black hybrids...
