Hi all, would like to know the difference between sunlight vs moonlight re-charging.

Is one better than the other, and do we determine that by type of spirit or by WA/DA/BA? Or maybe by vessel type?

Amethyst, rose quartz, and some others will fade in sunlight, so if you want a vibrant stone to maintain its color, I would limit how much direct sunlight it's exposed to.
