Is there any downside to connecting the spirit without a vessel and is there a different application than normal for this or just same? Thanks

This question has been answered in multiple threads and is also addressed in the Creepy Hollows Encyclopedia.

The Search function is your friend.

Now, in short, the answer is it's a personal choice and has no downside.

I echo Regholdain on looking up other threads about this.

My own view on binding to spirit is first make extra sure the conjurer is one you have checked out very carefully and you are absolutely sure they will do it right. Binding to spirit by a conjurer who knows what they're doing, are trustworthy and have a great track record, is fine. That is standard advice anyway. But I have seen some posts here about instances where a less experienced or reputable seller has managed to caused the buyer problems when they did what they called bind to spirit.

I echo both sentiments:

- From CH there is absolutely no difference in the effectiveness or communicability with spells or spirits if you have a binding to your spirit or any other type of vessel.

- You should check with your conjurer/practitioner to make sure you understand that their "bound to spirit" means exactly.
