Inviting friends and family

I've no experience with this sort of thing, but my sang vamp brought something up that I never thought was a thing.
I'd love if you can share your experiences with everyone.
He asked me if he could invite some of his friends and family over to visit sometimes . They are interested in socializing and talking . He said they will absolutely follow house rules and are respectful. He mentioned some of them are from his clan, but that all of them are very old friends.
My response was that we could talk about it more later once I read about it and decide if it's something I'd be interested in.
My sang vamp is very social, bold , high energy and outgoing, so I feel like this is something that might help boost a "community" feel.
Has anyone had any of their spirits ask for something like this? How were the results, if you agreed?

The CH Living Entities can do this - there's a codeword related to the binding for enabling exactly that. It's a nice thing to do for both you the keeper and the spirit.

I've not yet had a conjured and bound spirit suggest that to me...but I think it's a fairly common thing. I feel sure Ive read other forum members talk about it.

Is the spirit conjured and bound by a reputable, skilled conjurer (eg such as CH is)?

If so, then they will most likely have been conjured to be in mutual alignment with you and are probably unlikely to act up. In such circumstances, I guess it may well be fine to agree to the visit from their friends or family, as the spirit may well be trustworthy...in fact is likely to be. It's up to you.

What's your gut feeling?

Having said that, in general it's always handy to have protection measures, eg specialist protection spirits, who can keep away unwanted unbounds. And to know how to banish.

But yesterday a new spirit suggested I let some unbounds of the same race in for a quick visit. I used the CH WA portal to do that. It's a safe, protected way to have interaction with unbound WA spirits and it can be closed after use.

My gut says he's being honest, and doesn't wish any trouble. I'm not long term experienced with keeping and my spirits know this (obviously lol) but he has been respectful to all my rules so far, and asks questions to get better understanding of my feelings on things. He also has shown great team work and takes initiative to pop in and ask me questions if something new appears during an active task. I purchased him and my djinn from someone reputable. They were my first spirits . Even though my vamp bold with his energy he is on the lighter spectrum.

This stone that you speak of, is there something like that for DA? It makes me wonder if there is a sort of spell that could create a "safe-room" for a one time meeting? Is that the same thing as a portal? Plus, I feel like if I bring my mononoke and gargoyle with for the meetings, It should be okay. Lol

I have tasked my keep with monitoring my home and escorting anything malicious away, and to not allow unbounds into my house. They are very good at doing it and I'm really looking forward to see how CH spirits will work with the whole team. I intend to get more gargoyles and later a couple of wraiths.
I just recently purchased a gargoyle, a mononoke, and an Egyptian Psy vamp from CH, and am noticing a theme with my keep. I like DA lol my djinn is probably the lightest on the spectrum.

Yeah he's very good at being totally open and honest . He mentioned something about my ancestry having something to do with vampires and that is where the interest is coming from.

I try to limit how much is buzzing around in my space, I'm very sensitive and though they don't always mean to be annoying often if I don't completely seal up entryways I get images and sounds bouncing all over while I'm trying to concentrate on my "phone calls" with my spirits. Once I get better at managing and fine tuning I'll probably not be so uptight lol

The way I look at it, a safe space is different from a protected way to call a spirit or spirits.

Protected invocations / portals

But if you use a protected invocation, or a protected portal, then only safe spirits will come through. The thing is, they're usually set so as to bring through spirits the user has not yet met...either for interaction or for checking out as a potential future bound companion.

Safe space / haven

The rule of thumb for connecting with spirits is we don't really so much need protection when communing with our bound spirits. But this may vary from one person to another, as some may light up and be magnets for unbound spirits or un-called energies more than others, when they're doing spiritual work. You can never have too much protection.

The other benefit of having a cleared, protected space is it will be more free of confusing energies, so any connection made with spirits during use of a protected invocation or portal may well be clearer, more vivid and the spirits may be able to present themselves in more detail. In my opinion, being centred, grounded and psychically cleansed yourself can also be of benefit.

There are quite a few ways to clear and protect your space. Some forum members like to use the LBRP or LIRP. (Lesser Banishing (or Invoking) Ritual of the Pentagram, from the Order of the Golden Dawn tradition.) They don't adversely affect our bound spirits but some keepers prefer to let them know before they do space clearing, as a courtesy.

For communing with spirits already known to you, an invocation or portal isn't needed.

CH does in fact teach a method to create something like a safe space for meeting spirit companions (which also forms part of the University classes on protected conjuring). They call this a haven or personal paradise.

(If you're interested in reading those classes, it's mainly in Conjuration Part 1 but there's a spirit connection meeting space method in Spirit Chi too. The Conjuration Part 1 used to be available as a .pdf but there's just a paperback book listing in the Shop right now. Maybe you could ask CH support if it's possible to list the .pdf class for purchase again.)

Lewk! You are like a walking encyclopedia ! Lol I appreciate you.

I really like the idea of that paradise binding. I already have a space/imagery set up for almost all of my meetings , so that binding would be amazing.

I understand what you're saying about not really needing the protection with our bound spirits. I'm still trying to find a way to balance all of it though. I have been woken up to my bed shaking , and when I awake I find spirits bouncing and playing on my bed and wanting to talk and play. Not my bound spirits. Every night has new faces. I had to hang a sign above my bed that said no waking me up unless it's an emergency . Not an issue now, but it's a constant struggle for me.
Now with that settled, I'm trying to keep from all the images distracting me while I'm lining my spirits. I will see colors, faces and images strobing from different directions, inserting themselves into my view and distracting me . The line will get really loud static and the voice of the spirit I'm speaking with will fade under the static.
Grounding , centering and shielding helps a lot but I feel like I'm still getting interference. My djinn has been trying to teach me how to control my line so I don't have static bleed. (His words)
It's getting better with practice but it's so slow


Just got news today that my gargoyle is on his way ! I bought him on the 2nd, and the next day I went to the crystal shop to get gifts for my current spirits. I tend to grab AAA museum quality sparkly shiny crystals because I have no self control lol. But in the middle of my browsing I saw a wooden box of polished plain Oregon river stones. Not something I would usually buy. One flat, dark red stone caught my eye . It was polished smooth but had patches of rough and patches of smooth. I immediately grabbed it and said "this is for my gargoyle".
I went home, then later read that gargoyles like concrete and started to second guess my selection.
Today I got his description and his favorite color is brick red, which is exactly how id describe the stone I bought for him. A polished brick lol... It's weird how it happened kind of backwards.
Whoops. Derailed there for a sec, I apologize I don't have any friends who aren't skeptics...so it just all comes out on here..

I keep telling myself I should do that lesser banishing more often. But I'm still trying to work on cleaning up my visual from all the noise. That is a long list of steps and visualization, and I get like 30 random flashes every minute. It takes so much energy to get anything done. So long lists of visualization can be daunting to me.. I don't know if I'll ever be able clean it up completely lol but I won't give up!

I would love to meet family members or friends of the spirits in my keep. Especially since holidays are quickly approaching. Holiday parties would be a great way to learn about different traditions from over the span of time.
Lewk, you have given us some valuable resources! I love that this can be done safely. Selah gave us an amazing resource as well. I may actually ask my spirits if having a Holiday party would be of interest. This also brings great ideas for tasking.

I'm very childish around the holidays lol.
