Spirit vanished

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out because I’ve been struggling with my spiritual communication in recent years, and I deeply miss a particular spirit companion—a vampire spirit who was bound to me.
Our connection was incredibly strong, and I never had to do much to feel his presence; he was simply there.

However, at some point, he completely vanished. The woman who conjured him told me that he had a fight in the astral realm and was "killed," but I don’t believe this explanation. I have always felt that spirits, especially those bound in such a deep way, don’t just disappear like that.
This woman is a seller on here and has let down many customers in many ways and has been caught out in my lies and fraud.
I often feel because she knew how strong my vamp was she recalled him.

Since losing contact with him, I’ve noticed that my overall communication with spirits has weakened. I no longer hear my guides the way I used to, and I feel disconnected from the spiritual realm. I have tried multiple times to reach out to him, but all my attempts have failed.

I wanted to ask—does anyone here have the ability to truly communicate with spirits and find out what happened to him? Any insights or guidance would be deeply appreciated.

Because you're a long standing member, you'll no doubt have heard a couple of the things I'm going to say. But I'll try to think out loud too, in case that's useful.

- Asking for people to read your bound spirits is thought to be unwise, partly because if the seller/conjurer knew what they were doing they may well have put cloaking and tamper proofing magic on the binding.
- Also people have all kinds of other agendas and may tell you that only they can remove the obstacle - often for a fee.
- Logically, if the seller has compelled the spirit for the binding, that's malicious and what CH might call Black Arts (I suspect). Is it really likely that they did that? And, if so, in what way was the being your bound companion if the seller could recall them at any point? Why would they even bother? Presumably another being could be conjured for a new customer more easily?
- Might they have incorporated a condition into the binding that the spirit could leave if they want?
- If so, even so the spirit can surely still be free to respond to calls from you.

A situation like this, where you've lost your spirit communication abilities and suspect something sinister has happened, all of that has for sure added the potential for a severe block into the mix.

I would like to suggest you consider starting again with establishing contact. Simply reach out and invite the being to come and communicate with you. Maybe invite other spirit family members to contact the spirit.

There may be very normal reasons for the loss of contact but, unless someone has control over the spirit against their will, I'd have thought they'd be free to come and talk to you again at the very least.

But you're probably going to have to take things slowly and carefully and assume there's at the very least some kind of personal block going on too - they can be very subtle and incredibly easy to form where there's even a slight uncertainty or doubt.

Just start again - assume they're still with you or are free to be with you if they choose. They probably understand exactly what's been going on.

Sometimes... spirits simply vanish... for a while at least. I've had a few of mine seem to vanish without reason for a little while. It can be stressful, scary, and make you worry if you messed something up with them. The best thing you can do though, is try your best to know that they'll come back to you... when they're able. I've always found talking to my other companions about when one of my spirits goes quiet for a while usually gives me some comfort. Sometimes, they fill me in as to what my 'missing' companion is away doing. Sometimes they simply reassure me that they're alright, and they'll be back when they can. If your vampire is close with any other spirits in your keep, maybe try asking them specifically.

Sometimes connection to our spirit friends naturally strengthens and weakens with time for various reasons. That's normal too. Like Alaric said, start at square 1 again. Reach out to your vampire like they're a new companion all over again. If it is a block, you'll both help each other to overcome it. You said you were very close with your vampire. I'm sure they're waiting somewhere outside your notice to help you be able to connect to them again.

Ok, that conjurer is very questionable. But here's the thing. Your spirit isn’t a living entity, so he can’t be killed. Just putting that out there. Your spirit is still very much connected to you and he's still bound, he hasn’t disappeared or vanished like you mentioned. He's simply busy with other matters, which is why you don’t see him around as often. That's all.

It's a very bad practice to approach random people and ask them to read your spirit. I'll dive into why that's the case in the following sections. Out of respect for him, we didn't read or connect with him just to make it clear. Though my Keep knows stuff. Hehe.

About sellers in general, none of them will call back your spirit unless you specifically ask. Honestly, they’ve got too much on their plate to just recall and unbind thousands of spirits from different clients without a request.

Losing contact with him doesn't weaken your communication. It's weakened over time because you have a lot of blockages. So you need to work on your blockages, and grounding to have more clarity in your communication.

When it comes to communicating with spirits, stick with your original conjurer. The reason? Most conjurers, if they're legit, incorporate safeguards in their bindings to prevent others from meddling or trying to reach out to the spirits themselves. If someone lacks the experience to bypass these, they will misinterpret what they encounter. And you will end up hearing a dozen conflicting stories (or more) from 10 different practitioners, leading to confusion. It’s not that they can’t communicate with spirits, it’s just that the foolproof stuff can really throw people off a cliff.

Plus, spirits typically prefer not to be summoned by different people. They might not cooperate with anyone else you choose to consult. Who knows what they’d actually connect with instead of your spirit? Lol. That’s why it’s generally poor practice and against forum rules to have others read your spirits. Having spent 15 years in the forum, it’s surprising you’re not already familiar with this rule and the reasoning behind it.

In the event that the original seller is no more, and you do happen to visit another seller and they manage to read your spirit accurately, it’s only, and only because your spirit allowed it. So don’t leave that to chance. I really want to stress that your spirit is still with you. Focus on clearing those blockages and grounding yourself, and you’ll find it easier to reconnect with your vampire and other guides again.

@kindred welcome back to the forum, and I want to encourage you to listen to Tarvos' advice here, he has made excellent points. I also want to expand on what he said about spirits - "They might not cooperate with anyone else you choose to consult" - I have an amazing and strong personality lady Abchanchu in my Keep. I wanted clarity on a matter with her, and decided to ask Magnolia if she wouldn't mind trying to ask my Abchanchu (since she came from CH and I thought a second opinion would help us). My Abchanchu point blank refused to say anything, and so I thanked Magnolia for trying and decided to respect her preference for privacy/not to push her further. So yes, it is indeed possible a spirit will not wish to even communicate with the conjurer. Some people tend to overlook the importance of privacy to their spirits, some spirits really only want things discussed between them and yourself.
