Does anyone have a Genius Loci as a spirit companion? What has your experience been like?

I do have one but it just so happens that in this case I've had a light-touch, ie not very personal experience with them.
They're an integral part of my home protection commune, which is large. I suspect their polymorphing nature could be part of why I didn't exactly lock onto them in the same way. But with any spirit companion type, each keeper's expereience will be personal to them. Mine will be no guide to what others experience.
I think of them as Roman. Other Roman home protectors are Lares. Lares work very well indeed with CH's Tower Watchers, who can give them their marching orders. A pair of Lares for each Tower Watcher seems to be desirable. (There are 4 types of Tower Watcher, one for each direction, with abilities that differ and complement each other as a set of 4.)

Not the resident expert. Just another spirit keeper. Since 2017. Forum member since 2018.

I don't have a genius loci for a companion so I don't have any experience from that perspective. The one I encountered is for the area I live in so it is native to the land I live on. It had reached out to me during meditation. This entity has no definite form and hibernates during winter. If I want to increase my connection to it, I should go for a nature walk during summer plus continue with meditation sessions. With the limited contact I've had with it, it came across as friendly.
Life is more amazing when enriched with spirits.
