Beginner pendulum problems

Hello

My friend and we’re doing exercises with the pendulum yesterday. We would have to guess a number or color. We were wrong 70 percent of the time. I programmed my pendulum for accuracy from a professional script I got. I am bothered that we got so many wrong

Any idea what my might be the problem I usually have my arms uncrossed and elbow relaxed on a firm surface.

I tried the exercise with my spirits I was 50 percent inaccurate. I tried telepathy only and was accurate 7 out of 10 so that’s good at least. I want to get good at the pendulum though.

The two things I can really advise are:

1. Make sure the pendulum is cleansed. Chances are you've done this recently, but I have to say it anyways
2. Practice, practice, practice. You will get better at it with time. Continue to ask low-stakes questions like colors or numbers, but it might also be worth asking certain personal (still low-stakes) questions like if a spirit enjoys a particular food or music, etc. When your companion has a personal stock in the answer, that might help them express it more clearly through your pendulum.

I’m practicing with my spirits. I’m pretty sure my 7 year old fae is on purpose giving me wrong answers lol .

I did protection magic and banishing my accuracy got better. I did cleanse the actual pendulum.

I will continue to practice.

Although I've used pendulums in the past, long ago, I don't use them nowadays. A key thing is to learn to not 'dowse' your own thoughts, preoccupations, biases or worries. It is so very easy for us to pretty much unwittingly influence the pendulum. But, once you 'get' it, you can stay in that groove.

If you stop, you may lose the knack and have to begin again. It's a use it or lose it thing - at least for some of us.

If you're using it to check something you couldn't possibly know, when you get it right, you may feel how it is when you're on the right track. I used to ask it to go clockwise if I'm right and anti-clockwise if i'm wrong. But I've also seen it suggested to first ask the pendulum which way it'll go for right and for wrong then stick with it.

Perversely, it's when we most want an answer that we block clear results. It helps in all kinds of divination to ease off and adopt an attitude of not caring. Just treat it as an experiment and note disinterestedly what answers you're getting.

And, as has been said on this Forum before, never ask it super-important, life changing questions like: "Does my partner really love me?", "Am I a good person?" etc. At least not until you're super experienced and expert at it - and perhaps not even then.

I think use of pendulums in New Age-type scenarios has expanded greatly since I got my kit from the UK's number 1 occult supplier the Socerer's Apprentice in the mid 1980s. It included dowsing rods and two hard plastic pendulums of different sizes. The accompanying booklet explained the prevalent dowsing theory of Radiesthesia - that there are fields everywhere that can be detected through dowsing & pendulum use. But they're just tools to let the human using them synch in.

There was no cleansing of tools or need for psychic or occult set up. You just got on with it. But if I were to start using a pendulum again, I may well buy one of CH's dedicated pendulums and use the cleansing rite.

Pendulum work can be tricky, you've already received some good advice here though. I also suggest CH's pendulums if you really want to persist with them.

So, I just picked out my 5 pendulums yesterday . Just because of an issue with my recent migranes that was lingering on for few weeks. I could not fully trust my telepathy nor I could sufficiently connect with my keep, especially my Divine guides, whom I closely working with.

Long story short.... I didn't think it'll works. I am really an amateur, when its comes to use a tool. But to my surprise it did work. I have used a pendulum, on occasions in the past. Luckily I was gifted a CH pendulum mat that is written on with the indicators of yes - no - rephrase - maybe - try again - will not answer.

I also have my pendulums programmed. I guess that is also very helpful to get accurate answers. Surly protection and cleansing your environment is essentially add to your success to work with your pendulum.

Other things... If I focus sharply & look at my pendulum non-stop, I literally hypnotise myself, hehehehe... . Also, if I do it for too long, like in one sitting, I fall asleep lol. So I usually play it spontaneously, in a casual manner. Yesterday, I watched the movie, MamaMia 1 and 2. (ABBA) musical.

I still got into altered state of consciousness during my session. But the music, and looking up and having short detached focused attention on my questions given me a chance and for my guides to answer me, instead of getting answers from my own subconscious .... if this makes sense.

I tried first, with mutes on for sounds and only the movie was flashing through the TV. But, I was still over focused on moving my pendulum. My energy had such blast on it that it's stsrted shaking but never moved anywhere on the pendulum mat.

Then, I engaged my brain and my eyes with the musical on Netflix. I even sang at times ... But my intestion went out telepathically to my guides. And the pendulum moved without my human interference.
