Male/Female: It's a Secret

We are all different and have all different experiences at different levels.

I can't see spirits or hear their voices but I know they are there, they are listening to you, they feel what you do/feel, some can be a part of you. When you watch TV, listen music, do gardening, wherever you are, whatever you do, they are arround.

I can feel them, physically, by noises in a room, flash of lights, noise in the ears, grunts, all the time. Or by visions, black shadows, dreams, callings, feelings, I don't need to focus or make any efforts, they are there, always, days & nights. You have to pay attention to signs.

Did you saw a shadow of a dragon flying above you head ? it's impressive, or having live visions of things in front of you which don't exist to warn you of a danger.

I know what is fear as the first being I met was able to move my body, hands, legs, and I knew nothing about the spiritual world. Today, thinking to that period makes me laugh as I have more perspective today. I will never be afraid again, I was afraid because it was new.

You should focus on what you want, seek. It takes time to understand things, how it works and it's not because someone had specific experiences that you can do the same. You have to move forward in your own way.

I don't meditate or do any effort and I know it's a big mistake as the time flies quickly. But today I understand a little more how it works which help me to clear my mind. I think it's time for me to meditate seriously.

I had/have so many experiences, so when an etsy seller asked me if I can communicate by telepathy with my friends, it just make me laugh.

Sterling Birch wrote: Fri Jul 03, 2026 4:19 pm Hey all,

I’ve hit a bit of a wall and I’m looking for some insight.

I’m at a point in my journey where my mentor has taught me the mechanism for learning to see and hear spirits/entities. This is a milestone I’ve worked hard to reach, but now that I’m right on the edge of actually developing these faculties, I’ve noticed myself procrastinating.

There’s definitely still some fear around the experience itself, and around how my life might change once those senses become more active.

So for those of you who can see or hear your companions, even if it only happens occasionally, what is it actually like? Has it been worth developing?

I have a feeling the answer will be yes, but hearing from others who successfully live with this as part of their life would be very reassuring. I’ve had isolated experiences in the past where I’ve seen, heard, or felt my spirit companions, but I still struggle to imagine what it would be like to have more active access to them through my senses.

What has the experience been like for you?
For me personally, I have experiences on rare occasions, I will hear, see and feel spirts.

When it does happen, I get a surreal feeling of exhilarating disbelief/belief (did I just experience that…) self-reflection, requestion life, etc.

I understand the fear factor, I am dealing with my own fear of meditation, bazaar, I know.
I had a really strange mediation experience last year, that extremely creeped me out. I have done meditations since, although I cannot get into deep meditative state like I use to, I hold back a lot.

I have started doing journalling, seem to help somewhat, trying to understand and overcome the fear of what I don’t understand.

I haven’t found a tutor/mentor as of yet, who can deal with the intense chaos that follows when I tune into/work with my energy.
Multiple previous attempts, they all have told me to stop, practicing the energetic exercises they have given me, such as Qigong, Reiki, Tantra, etc.

Deep inside I do feel I need to persist and break through the chaotic reaction when attuning to energy, for me to reach where I need to be.
At the same time, I am uncertain and unsure of what I am doing, therefore hesitant to persist with it.

Through out life I have been given clues on what is going on with myself, maybe I just need to take a leap of faith.

There's a book by Judy Hall called The Way of Psychic Protection, in which she advocates any spiritual practitioner using daily self protection for their spiritual work sessions as well as regular cleansing practices.

Some of us seem to need that more than others. The book is comprehensive.

Also, the experienced practitioner @Vipera aspis atra whose opinion I value, has commented a few times here on the value of shadow work - a form of introspection / self development.

As I see it, some of us, who may be more light nature or white arts aligned, may actually project - or have unresolved - psychological or personal development issues that lead to us repeatedly re-running situations in which we confront that unresolved shadow.

A good YouTube video or two on Jung's idea of the shadow is a good starting point.

Anyway, when that's going on, we can find ourselves experiencing chaos as an uncontrolled , unwanted scenario.

There's a certain amount of chaos in life anyway. But those of us who may seek order or control may experience the imbalance of that more keenly than others.

I can't comment directly on your personal situation of course. These are just general thoughts.

A combination of DIY protection for spiritual practice plus shadow work is probably a good thing in general in any case.
Not the resident expert. Just another spirit keeper. Since 2017. Forum member since 2018.

My super power would be...: Ability to shape-shift

My experience was different. I (now realizing that it was a blessing) was born with the ability to see spirits. Like mentioned before when spirits manifest in the physical it's very brief, and does take a lot of energy for them to be able to either hold the physical manifestation or if they're capable of moving things it also takes a lot of energy. When I was younger I just thought it was a normal thing. When I got older due to a lot of different factors I had blocked myself off from this. Trying to come back to my abilities was a struggle, but ultimately I got to a place where I feel better I'm able to do better because I'm older and wiser now. I understand more about my path. Everyone's journey is different and there isn't just one answer to how you get there; the fact that you had worked on energy work is a big help. This is where I had to restart and personally for me helped a lot. Ultimately I ended up blocking myself due to fear myself. I would say knowing what I know now it was totally worth exploring again.

() wow... you have triggered tears into my eyes. Identical childhood experience with mine. I only just thought of myself if I didn't block out my gifts after my brother's accident, that I had as a flash on that morning before he went out with dad's bike (but I thought, at the time, I caused it as a 9 years old....) and I felt terrible.

I probably would be far more intuitive and psychic nowadays. And even more capable of looking through the Realms by now. Luckily that part of mine wasn't blocked fully. Otherwise, I am incredibly logical person and only use my psychic when absolutely necessary. When I can't work out things logically nor things making sense anymore. I known it should be vise vesra hehehehe...

I still get 'treated' to seeing the girl from 'The Ring' now and then. I don't look into the bathroom mirrors in the dark when I use the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Here I am facing things in the astral you do NOT want to go toe-to-toe with, and in the physical world I'm a wuss still. Yeah, I just had this discussion not too long ago, also, lol.

I still have to say "DON'T YOU DO IT A! DON'T YOU DO IT!" to my 'beloved' deerfolk on those nights. :'D
A wise Earthen Elemental Wolf Spirit once said to me,
"Why speak magick? Be magick!"

"Hani-machi-shey-baya."
