My parents always told me that if it was not worth working for it was not worth having. We were taught from a young age to work for everything we earn, and not depend upon any government handouts or help. They always said it might not be there when we need it. They were correct in this. If we don't work for it, it truly is not ours.
Once we earned it, we can say with pride that we worked for it. This is true with everything in life, from the paranormal to the normal. Once we work for it, we appreciate the effort we put into it. It is appreciated more if we earn it.
