Pan?

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if I could hear your thoughts about, knowledge on, or experiences with the immoral Pan? I have already read the encyclopedia entry, but I always love to hear about your experiences. :)

Good evening, Rusty! :)

I have always loved the forest and have felt a connection to him and a few other Immortals, but I've been nervous to get an Immortal because of the fact that they're DA.

There's an encyclopedia entry on him? I didn't realize that. I'm going to go hunting for it now! I've been thinking about getting an Immortal like Pan, but I'm not sure if I should. I don't know why I have the hesitation, though...

I felt bad for responding to one person but not another, so if you'll forgive the copy-paste, I'll say it again here in case you don't read the other thread -

If you like satyrs and get along well with them, you'll be fine. I think anyone who appreciates nature (and preserving it), the forest, old ways of farming, music, earthiness, simple fun, and, well, lusty instincts lol, will get along with Him great.

I completely understand what you mean by a forest connection! Oh, I could definitely see why that would make you nervous! My first spirit was DA, so it never really phased me too much, but I understand your point of view. I think hesitation is normal, immortals are quite different from other types of entities. Did you find the encyclopedia page? I could link, if you need it! :)

No worries, thank you for replying! What thread was this, if you don't mind me asking? Sounds like I probably will get along with him, a lot of that really does pertain to myself : 0

Pan is a much older god than many understand. I just want to add (without trying to freak you out whatsoever) that his wilder side is extreme, and intense.
He is known to induce panic and situations that will frighten you or put you on edge. It can be fun for him, meant to send a message or just as a result of his energy (can't be helped).
He is a nature god and one must understand that nature can be as severe as it can be pleasant. So if you seek out the totality of Pan's presence you should have this potential in mind as well.

However the immortals respond differently to everyone and how he manifests will depend on your connection to a certain degree, as well as if you are only approaching a particular aspect.

Hey, thanks for the reply/being honest! I have heard a little bit about that side, mainly just a story/legend(?) about Him yelling at people in the forest to frighten them. I really appreciate you elaborating on it. I myself am a panicky person by nature (I suffer from panic attacks), so the thought of adding to that doesn't bother me all that much since I have them anyway, it's kind of natural to me now, if that makes sense? I get what you are saying about severity and pleasantness, very relevant since my area is flooding at the moment by what's left of Hurricane Matthew.

Thank you for this perspective.
I know this is where we get the word "panic," but I have not experienced this manifestation.
Unless of course, like Rusty Hinge I equate it to the scariness of the hurricane. I haven't been that scared since Fran. I'd never thought about Pan being involved in weather phenomenon like that though.
I love my goat-boys and seem to connect to them and their earthiness very well. They are playful, fun, musical, love nature and dancing, and they like to help with chakra work and sexual energy. I know they have a wild, lusty, crazy side but they are gentle to me, they never seem to get out of line, and even Pan Himself does not seem too overwhelming. Perhaps I should try connecting with Him more for a deeper understanding.
It's funny, since I have a binding of Pan I bought a Spirit Bio for Him, and it says He wants me to be more silly like He is, lol. Also that I should get out of my comfort zone to explore my sexual energy and passion.
