I'm wondering if anyone has heard of a vampire turning ritual involving a dagger? I've heard it's rare but I'm in need of some information on it.

A friend of mine saw a man turned into a vampire in what she thought was a past life vision. A woman she spoke to said it was a dangerous way to turn someone but nothing more on the subject. Thanks for the info!

You might want to ask your friend first for more detail of the matter. E.g. is this some sort of ritual, or something that replace the biting process, what are the procedures, etc etc : )

From what she said, it seemed to be a ritual but the knife was merely used by the vampire to cut her skin to share her blood with the man. She still bit him in order to turn him. But the knife was extremely ornate and she said it looked very old like an antique: at least 200 or more years old.

It seems to me that you've already found the answer to your question, unless there was something specific about the ritual you were searching for.

From my knowledge, physical turning requires one to be bitten, and even then it isn't always going to turn out what you'd expect. If one isn't compatible, you can be doing more harm than good.

Yes, actually I was hoping for maybe a cultural reference or an idea of where to look for someone who knows this ritual in particular. Any ideas for that?

What is the reason you are looking for this ritual in particular?

According to a woman I spoke to, it is an extremely rare ritual and only a few vampires practice this type of turning because it is so dangerous. I'm looking for a particular vampire who was turned this way because he disappeared after he told me he turned. I'm hoping to find him... I just want to know he is okay.
