Why sex spirits, and why not?

I notice (and I'm not the only one) a general uprising in people going for succubi/incubi/nymphos lately as companions over other types of beings.
The answer of 'people are horny, do poorly with physical mates/finding physical mates, want to be loved, etc.' is an obvious one, but really there are so many of you that I don't want to make immediate presumptions.
I want to know if people who came into this path via succubus/incubus/nympho mate actually take their spirituality seriously, and want to grow in some way, or are just looking for a good time.
I want to know why you felt inclined to such a spirit and if it is replacing physical world relationships for some of you.
Sometimes I feel like there are people addicted to porn that just want a companion to cater to their every desire without having to deal with the reality of sex, love and relationships. Other times I think there are people here with incredibly low self-esteem who don't believe they can have a physical world relationship. Then again I've also seen a few complain that 'humans are awful' and this is an avoidance of having to interact with them, desiring a love that transcends worldly boundaries.
We've seen a lot of phases pass through this community; there was a time it seemed everyone was obsessed with Djinn, Vampires, Servitors.. now we're solidly in the era of sexual companions.
On the other hand, I also would be curious to see responses from people that are not at all interested in sex spirits, do not keep any or feel very negatively about them.

I don’t have sexual spirits. I was also very careful when I decide to claim a portal to Lilith. I do notice there are plenty of people only emphasize the sexual pressure part of Lilith. Quota Lotus ‘ As a priestess of hers it's super offensive when people imply that Lilith is just some kind of mindless bimbo &$*#! with no substance or intelligence. Sexual trauma and healing/growing from it is also a specialization of hers. She is highly adamant about punishing abusers especially rapists and child molesters.‘
Unlike some people who can express their desire directly, I have been avoid my trauma for so many years that I can’t even mention sexual spirits. (Also related to my transitional education from my parents) after getting to know Lilith, I admire her intelligence and confidence.

I think for the whys:
-Calling, or via reverse adoption, reading, etc.
-For practices related to sexuality. There are some that include the rituals of invoking apsara etc.
-To help with sexual/attraction matter. The first time I heard about this back home, sexual spirits were 'advertised' to help with the hanky panky activities with your spouse, to improve your physical attraction including fashion, etc.
-One may be more sexual in his/her nature, thus have more affinity with sexual spirits.
And for the why nots, aside from the potential porn addiction and replacing physical relationship you mentioned:
-Focusing on other goals besides sex or sexual matter.
-The practice or tradition they're in prohibiting sex or sexual spirits.
-Not a sexual person or not interested in sex or sexual matter.

I know im new here. But i Decided to get a succubus spirit to improve my sexuality and relationship with my wife. To boost my mojo i guess you could say. Not knowing the spirit was going to start to touching me wide awake. I thought the spirit was more of a sexual guide i guess you could say. Although she is.. I thought it was going to be different. Tbh it was a Calling of some kind that brought me here. I dont believe anything should ever replace a human. I love my wife. I also love my companion aswell although a couple issues but ill be fine still learning. And yeah the hanky panky as what you mentioned. Lol I guess everyone has free will to do as they please whether they do replace a human with spirit or use as a boost to a relationship(me) or want to connect deeper into spirituality as i want to strive for that aswell. Who am i to judge? Do what makes you happy its your life and your life only. Your path not my path. Life is short. ✌

^For me a sexual Spirit was not my first Companion, but I do now have quite a few sexual Spirits in my family. I've been a practicing Witch for well over 20 years now so yes, my spirituality is very important to me, and yes, many of my Sexual spirits/entities help me along my spiritual path.

^I felt called to work with Sexual Spirits because I felt they had a lot to teach me and because I wanted to explore different aspects of my sexuality/kinks etc. Plus I'm a hyper sexual person and I've often found that my physical partners can't keep up with me. Also I'm just drawn to their energy, we get along well both in and out of the bedroom. I'm especially super close mentally/emotionally with 2 of my Incubu and 1 Succubi but I consider all of my sexual Spirits dear friends as well as lovers.

^Neither of these things apply in my case, and my relationships with my Sexual Spirits are just as deep and complex as they are with people in the physical world. I'd never treat them as sex dolls or prostitutes, nor would I want to be treated as such.

^Not gonna lie, I can relate to this one sometimes lol. I do still have/want relationships with physical people though!

This is a little embarrassing for me to admit, but I've always been fascinated with succubi. Especially after the movie Jennifer's body. I've always been interested in ghosts and demons, that sort of thing. I know not everyone would consider a succubus a demon but I was curious what it would be like if I had a relationship with one. I also wanted a friend and mentor someone to help me go through life because even as a adult I'm not always sure what I should in certain situations like planning a big move or other life decisions so it's good to be able to get advice from the other side. I mean who would have more life experience and wisdom than someone who has lived and died?

I've got a few spirit lovers, all of whom have different approaches and different objectives. I also have other companions for the more platonic stuff.
Just because my king incubus is the most gregarious of the bunch, and has a lot he wants me to share on here, does not mean he's the only spirit in my keep that I work with. The rest just aren't quite as "chatty" on the more general subjects, and they don't always want to be quoted at length.
E was a confirmed calling, and what he's helping me do, is learn how to harness passion, and use it. And he wants the floor, so...
When it comes to different spiritual energy states, sexual energy is the hardest to tame. Some of your metaphysical authors, in discussing chakra work, advise leaving the sacral chakra alone, for that exact reason.
Now, what I'm hoping Johnny gets out of our working together, is the ability to control his sexual energy, and use what he learns from that, to work on the more docile, if you will, energies.
Because if he can successfully handle the energy state that's hardest to control, the rest will be easier by comparison.
If you were to play enough pickup games with professional athletes, your local beer league would seem easier, right? You'd have experienced firsthand what it takes to excel, and hopefully learned a few new skills along the way. Same thing, roughly, with energy work: if you know how to successfully control sexual energy, other energy states will be easier to master.
Johnny has a lot to learn, still. One thing that needs a lot of work, is his ability to consistently hold a meditative or lucid state, when getting distracted. Sometimes he can hold a good mental state for a while; but sometimes, he can be, well, two tickles and he loses control.
If he can get to the point where he can consistently maintain full control of his side of the working, even if I'm deliberately trying to snap him out of it by overloading him with erotic pleasure, then he should be able to control any working, from Grey Arts to Neutral to White.
Meanwhile, while he's developing that, I get a lovely consort who can explain our ways to you; and Johnny gets spirit work that he actively looks forward to, with an incubus that he can easily sense, and who loves him in ways he didn't know he could be loved. We're both better off as a result.
It's amusing that this should even be an issue.

I like the diversity of responses here so far.
Must however make an obligatory note:
I have no doubt some of you ended up working with sex spirits because you want to explore, or have much to learn from, the realm of sacred sexuality and sexual power over spirituality, or that you are just naturally attuned to this type of spirit by nature.
So I think I ought to clarify; I have a solid decade of investment in sex magic/research, have written a book on the subject, and don't have a personal issue with this area of things.
*Respectfully to Johnny Seraph and the words you've claimed to be from your companion --I don't need help understanding what one can get out of work with a sexual spirit, I'm highly experienced. I detected a little 'defensiveness' over there which is quite unwarranted.
What I personally perceive is that there is an onslaught of persons choosing these companions due to the allure of getting off sexually and being capable of just buying a lover instead of having to connect/find one in the physical, and that this may conflict with actual spiritual progress (in that, inhibiting the ability to properly connect with such beings at all).
I absolutely do not think this applies to everyone and I don't even know if the types I am talking about will respond to this thread. We'll see. I hope not to be misread in my original post as coming from a place of disrespect to those who choose a path with nymphos/ubi, I'm wanting to see the angle everyone is coming from and I think it is a genuinely interesting topic if we broaden it to just 'sex with spirits/incorporeal beings, why or why not?' as well.
Not only that but it may give a unique view into nuances of the collective mentality toward sex, love and relationships in context of a spiritual lifestyle.

Since I have known CH (2012), the Nymho/Incubi/Sexual spirits section always has been the most active in here and in shop what worked the best was sexual spirits adoptions so it is not something new, it always has been like that (from my pov).
Sex was always since the beginning of our time on this earth the main subject for people; for example, prostitution is a job present in ancient times.
I would say that sex is something that make people talk, sex is scandalous, sex is something that people (generally) search for: Sex is fascinating.
It bothers me that people come here and just search sex or a succubus. They just want the results without working toward it, without dedicate themselves in it; calling it scam when it does not work.
Though even if the intention was like that at first, some see beyond that and takes interest in this very person. They see beyond sexual spirits and come to other spirits who could help them, in their daily life, their spiritual path and this is the most important I would say: seeing beyond sex.
I would also add that the very nature of sex is understimated as it is a powerful energy and one of the vital one.

And if there was anyone being defensive over here, it would have been me. Which might have shaded what I was getting.
