Spread Love, Not Hate. Seriously. In this climate lately within the world the last thing that should be happening in the paranormal community is in-fighting.

To begin, Ash & I are not on the Forum all the time like we were 10-15 years ago. We simply do not have the time to always individually interact on every thread. Therefore, we leave the management of the Forum in the capable hands of the Mods, who do an incredible & inspirational job. However, they can't be everywhere & police and monitor every thread, so be aware this Forum was created by adults, for adult interaction, and we expect our message of love & respect to be honored by all those who come here.

Our Forum can be a fantastic place, and it is supported by people who care about & respect each other, but sometimes there are bad reviews on sellers, or disagreements on philosophies and religious views, or fundamental issues with paranormal practices, but none of us live in Utopia, and our Forum definitely isn't located there, so everyone needs to be mindful of the human condition.

There are definitely hot-button topics here that usually encompass religion, Black Arts paths, spiritual beliefs, and seller/website reviews. Those are typically the discussions that bring on the most controversy and can result in Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Discord, etc lighting up with CH hate. We ask that all members here be mindful of that and try to respect our message of honor & respect of fellow members so we catch as limited flack as possible. Because ultimately it usually becomes CH being blamed for anything bad that happens here, not you.

We've taken a lot of heat over the years for the Forum, it's caused us personally to get blamed for topics & posts made by members that we had no knowledge or part of, and any time sellers get bad reviews then CH takes the hit for it rather than the reviewer, because it's easier to bash CH then to look bad calling out the customer who left a bad review. Those are significant drawbacks, but the reason the Forum has been up for over a decade now is because the help it brings newcomers and members far outweighs the price we have to pay for running the Forum.

Ash & I are just too busy tending to our work and focusing on the care of our members to be embroiled in conspiracies of seller-bashing. We do not, will not, and never have bashed sellers, we don't endorse or support seller-bashing, and that flies in the face of the entire philosophy of our Forum.

This is not a political Forum, nor it is a single-religion Forum. Discussions of religion and spiritual beliefs should be considered thoughtfully. This Forum is not about converting people to a specific religion or belief, it's about celebrating the paranormal & supernatural. Any discussion of politics is not approved of, and any discussion of religion & spirituality, in the prism of discussing its ties to the supernatural, should be done so in a respectful manner. Bearing in mind that any religious or spiritual discussion means that you are going to have people post their own thoughts which may disagree with your own.

It would be impossible for us to read every thread that comes through the Forum, but the mods & ourselves do try to immediately address issues once they are brought to our attention. However, we can't fix what we don't know is broke, so if you are having a problem you need to let someone know. If you are actually being bullied (not just people disagreeing with your posts or your thoughts on a subject), then you need to let someone know. We can be reached at support@creepyhollows.com

There are some key aspects to keep in mind...

#1 - I don't personally bash sellers, I don't ask people to bash sellers, neither does Ash, and nor does anyone else who works here. There's no reason to do so, there's no point in doing so, we don't endorse seller-bashing of anyone. We already know what it's like to be bashed and therefore we don't promote it. Being one of the handful of long-term sellers that doesn't change their name & website every 5 minutes we're well aware of what it's like to be bashed. The Golden Rule, and that's something we take seriously. You get out of this journey what you put into it, and we didn't get where we are today by bashing sellers, we got here by showing people the work we do & that's what we focus on.

#2 - Views expressed on this Forum belong to the poster and responders, not myself, not Ash, and not anyone who works here unless it comes from our accounts. If our name isn't on the thread then the person who posted the thread needs to be held accountable if you have an issue. You shouldn't blame CH because you don't like a thread here, you should take up the issue with the person who created the content.

#3 - Seller reviews have a stringent set of rules for a reason, because the only time a seller or a product they sell should be reviewed is when you have purchased from the seller or bought the product in question.

#4 - Any seller can advertise on the Forum, and the ONLY time sellers are banned from the Forum is when they have repeated violations of the simple board rules. The mods give ample warnings, over & over, before the extreme action of banishment is taken.

#5 - Bullying is not okay, and we have a zero-tolerance policy. However, if someone is merely disagreeing with you in a post and you both engage in a heated exchange that you are both right, that may not constitute bullying. If someone is belittling you, shaming you, calling you names, stalking you in threads to be hateful, etc, those are all actionable offenses and you need to notify us immediately.

If you are a seller & you think you're being bullied, let us know. The rules are the same for everyone whether you're a seller or buyer. Buyers are allowed one, concise review of your product, and one, concise review of you as a seller as a whole. Buyers may be asked to provide proof of purchase if there is any inclination that the review isn't legitimate, or if the seller being reviewed requests proof. This is because CH knows what it's like to have fake reviews & unprecented hate spread and we wouldn't want it done to anyone else.

What happened to bring about this post?

Multiple issues over the last month as reported by members here & mods.

Every few years we have to post a reminder that everyone needs to think about what they say for a moment before they type it out & post it, especially with the hot-button topics. Nothing good comes of challenging someone's religious beliefs. An open & healthy discussion allows for people of various religious backgrounds to learn & appreciate each other, and find common ground between them.

The same with any other controversial topic here. If you are going to participate in a debate, make it healthy for everyone involved and don't make it personal with name-calling, shaming, etc.

And there's been complaints from some past, banned sellers circulating the internet as well with half of the story. No seller has ever been banned from this Forum without having first received a MULTITUDE of warnings and chances to fix the issues.

We don't post the reasons sellers are banned because in doing so it only further promotes negativity and would give the appearance we are bashing them. Instead, they know why they are banned and if they choose to lie about it or make it seem like they were unjustly removed then that must bear on their conscience. It's not "fair", but typically people know when they are only being told half a story. Especially those who actually are a part of this community and they know no one is banned without lots & lots of cause.

It makes me really sad that things like this have to be said instead of others just knowing to be respectful. This is one of the warmest, most welcoming places I have been to, and I hope to help keep it that way. Thank you for your post and your dedication to this community <3

This was from last year, but I would say that at any time, it's a good idea to find love in all things around you and find a way to appreciate others, even if they don't agree with you, and spread love <3
