If you're into magick I would suggest Kelis's Baby Dragon Familiars
If you like Protection I would suggest his guardians (they rock!)
My first Alpha is a companion and guardian, and they feel like a really close friend

Add to that, the ability to get a custom, to look just like the woman of your dreams. (with one of my female nagas, I searched for the ideal looking female. Used that as a base for the top part of my naga, then went to a place that makes glass eyes, and found the most beautiful eyes I that I thought would look great on that person. To make her look extra beautiful)

I keep having extremely vivid dreams about Pam and Eric Northman from True Blood. Last night I dreamt that they were my business associates and friends. We were running a dance club. It was very life-like and detailed.

When you get a Precreated Alpha, they are with you almost immediately. You may end up waiting on the vessel, but the Alphas themselves are with you within 24 hours. They watch the listings more than I do. Lol
