One thing that makes sense about Canada Goose/Wolverine is that they occur in the same areas in nature. And they will both smite the living mess out of anyone who threatens them or their offspring.
Honey Badger is a good choice, but I think they occur in Africa(? have to check that). Surely there is a super-aggressive bird whose range overlaps with that of the Honey Badger, though. Do they live near any sort of swan? If you want to talk about birds that will knock you into next year while defending their turf, swans are right up there. Do not go near a swan's nest. Both parents will terminate threats with extreme prejudice.
