Hi guys.

I'm pretty new here and just have a quick question.

My first spirit is a male Green Dragon from Jules moon. I have only had him a few days, but he has made his presence known. He's very talkative. Lol. I feel so close to him already.

I went ahead and ordered a custom conjure Unicorn from CH, and then after doing a little research, decided to add a protective spirit as well. So I ordered a custom conjure Volkh. The Volkh came with a BOGO spirit, so I chose a reverse adoption. WA only since I am just starting out.

So my question is, do you think this is a good selection for a beginner?

I don't plan to adopt anyone else right now. I'm gonna take my time to get to know these guys. Of course, I have a wish list a mile long, but if I buy anything else this year, it will be spells, not spirits.

So...a Green Dragon, a Unicorn, a Volkh, and an unknown WA reverse adoption. From your experience, will this be a good "beginner family?" Thanks you guys! I look forward to becoming a part of the community!

I first off would like to say, congratulations!!!! Yayyyy on you getting spirits!

Okay (ahem) I am not an expert, but protection is essential as a starter. Important Questions for you:
Do you have protections in place already, ie: a barrier that defends your home/sacred space?
Are you fluent in ways to protect yourself on the go, ie: 'White light barrier/shield/aura'?
How adept are you at discerning one spirit from another?

In regards to your other question about a Green Dragon, Unicorn, Volkh and an unknown WA entity. I'd say you have made a good choice. You have protection right off the bat! (I didn't do that at first and oh heck it was bad.) I'm not you, but I'd say you have a good collection! D yaaay. But seriously, I really recommend some more extra protection tho. So if you're completely used to WA, in my experience, my personal energy felt like a I got hit with a sack of bricks. That's a bit exaggerated. Some people can handle darker energies well and that's good on them )

Read the forums, research, talk to the members and participate in forums too, you would be suprised how much abundant the wealth of knowledge here. From there, go on and enjoy your spirit keeping journey. Good luck.

Hi Opelia, you said it was bad not having protection from the start, what do you mean by that something weird or bad happened?(I'm just curious since I'm new to this)

Thanks for the replies! I do already have some protection. Nothing major. I have been working on shielding. I'm an empath, which makes it kind of hard, but necessary. I also wear an amethyst, moonstone and labradorite bracelet everyday, and I sage my house about once a month. I am definitely planning to get more protective spirits in the future. I would eventually like to have a Volkh assigned to each person in my house. I showed this site to my 12 yr old son, and he got super excited and insisted I get him a Dragon too, so I ordered a custom conjure for him. Lol. If and when I do decide to get some DA spirits, I will probably get a couple of hellhounds to guard the house... and maybe a gargoyle.

Ahem* My very first spirit was a Sterling Angel. Because I didn't have protection, I couldn't even trust what she was saying. You know when you start and you're not completely sure of what the fuq is going on. Take that and add all the malicious unbounded I had around... Ya it wasn't good. But now I'm perfectly fine! Yay I can trust my intuition of what she's saying.

Don't worry about it, honestly I just started and I don't really am able to communicate with them or even feel them, so as you should've guessed by now I don't have any kind of protection that's why I was curious, thanks for the reply.

Keep at it! You'll do fine. Just don't loose faith in yourself.
