Can you see things during Sleep Paralysis while your eyes are closed?

Today while meditating and hoping for AP, I got to a point where i couldn't really feel my body anymore. During this, as my eyes were closed i saw something, it was like a streak of light that darted across my vision. This happened twice. Also, i did hear some odd sounds, best way to describe it would be something tapping on the wall. Thing is, it seems like i could still move my body..
I was wondering if this was SP, or maybe the work of my third eye? I've been trying to open it now, maybe only for five or four days though. If it was my third eye then i'm shocked haha.. it means i'm doing well i guess!
