A chimera has three heads; lion, snake, and goat; so does each head have it's own name and it's own personality and they choose a group name to go by? I know that dark phonixes are two pheonix birds that are connected, and that they each have their own name but that it is far better for keeper and DA pheonix to use their 'union' name. So does this apply to the chimera? Any input on these beautiful and awesome beings is welcome and appreciated.

As far as I know they only have one name (at least from CH).
I have a pre-bound from CH, and as best as I can tell through my limited ability, he's wise, strong, protective, social, and quite snuggly. His description says "dark and intimidating," but I think that's only towards enemies. :)
With the different heads, I think it's kinda like Ghidorah from the movies, they work in unison and aren't necessarily different personalities.
It would be interesting to know if there are many differences among the race, or even between sellers. I think I've seen a few different kinds of chimeras being sold. I'm tempted to get another!

The ability to see multiple perspectives at once and being the "odd one out" not a snake or goat or lion, but a mix of all three together; what a unique perspective they must have. I am usually not attracted to keeping cat creatures in the spirit keeping sense, which is funny considering I love cats, but this is the exception. Plus the idea of having a predator head; the lion, and a prey head; the goat, on the same body is immensely fascinating to me, than there is the snake head to consider. Multi-headed creatures are fascinating.

That's neat, I hadn't thought of it that way.
I love all the cat creatures. =^.^=

I'm really at the basic, beginner level of bonding/interaction/meta abilities, so I only get a few impressions here and there, like what I said above about my chimera. All my spirits/entities seem great (cat-like or otherwise), from what little I've been able to glean.

Interesting perspectives.. I have a Chimera and she's absolutely sweet & devoted, as well as being a very talented spellcaster. I find her to be a great multitasker as well, being able to handle deeper communications between me and the entire spirit fam. It could really be as what was mentioned here - the ability of a Chimera to have different perspectives at the same time, which results in such capabilities of an effective go-in-between and managing diverse tasks at the same time. Pretty cool, if you ask me!
