Spirit Keeping & Paranormal Collecting Forum

All of my spirit companions are WA spirits and I have 1 DA spirit on the way. Out of habit, and before I even got into spirit keeping, I would burn sage or palo santo and I burn the occasional incense for clearing dark/negative energy/spirits/etc and I set my intentions to get negativity and any dark spirits to leave and only allow and welcome energies and spirits of nothing less than love and light. Not only does it make areas of my space feel lighter, I really enjoy the smells of palo santo, sandalwood, patchouli and a lot of other holier incense and herbs.

With that said, would saging and cleansing technically hurt or push my future DA spirit out or away? Just curious..

As long as they're bound to you, no, it shouldn't be a problem.

Hmm, he isn't going to be bound to me.. he's gonna have a vessel. I suppose I'll just have to stop cleansing my space. I'll miss you, palo santo.

I suppose I should have been a bit more clear. :lol: If they are in a vessel in the space or bound to you, they're fine. It's unbounds (an unwanted presence) that is removed through use of the cleansing rituals/incense. Unless you're specifically doing an unbinding ritual to get rid of something a conjurer attached to an item or person in the space, there's nothing to worry about.

I have quite a few DA in my Keep, and not one of them is driven away by the incense I use.
