Intriguing. This might be too stoner-y for some people (lol) but I have had an fun time meditating to "Maggot Brain". It's a guitar instrumental with a short monologue at the beginning. I got myself into a very interesting trance listening to it even before I was into meditation.

You should checkout 'bliss music' - it is VERY different to all those other brainwave entrainment or subliminal type audios. The guy captured shakti energy, and I must say its incredible, no comparison.

It's just crazy expensive: http://www.bliss-music.com/

There are preview audio on his website and he has a youtube channel where most videos play his recordings in the background: https://www.youtube.com/user/blissmusic1

At first I had trouble handling the energy, but I found that if i meditate while listening, such as progressive relaxation, watching any tension or irritation in me while listening, its quite fantastic. I get levels of stillness within me that I very much need.

I use the Purnam track from the Pure album... I can handle that well.
