How can someone break your protection?

And is there any good alarm to let us know when someone is trying to break the protection?

I think it depends how effective the protection you have in place is and what sort of protection you have in place.

I suppose you could ask your protection spirits to let you know when someone is trying to break the protection but it might be preferable to have as effective a protection in place as possible.

One way to do this is have layers of protection, from your own diy efforts to specialist protection spell bindings and spirit and ideally more than one of each type.

Don’t be scared. This island is full of noises, strange sounds and sweet melodies that make you feel good and don’t hurt anyone. Sometimes I hear a thousand twanging instruments hum at my ears, and sometimes voices that send me back to sleep even if I had just woken up—and then I dreamed of clouds opening up and dropping such riches on me that when I woke up, I cried because I wanted to dream again. Oh, I forgot about tasking my spirits to let me know! I currently only have 1 protection spirit and I don't want to overwhelm her too much. I plan to add a few more later to help her when I get a calling 🙂

I am starting to plan my diy protection like, 4 thiefs vinegar, red brick or black salt, praying, and biweekly cleansing of the whole house. Maybe some crystal work in the far future.

Having multiple aspects of protection, and refreshing it regularly, is your best bet. Learn protective methods like shielding and banishing. Look up crystal gridding, AND have a spare set of crystals on hand for when you need to cleanse or charge the first set. Then you can set up the fresh set immediately when you take the first set down, and the time spent without the grid will be minimal.

Having protective spirits and servitors is the final puzzle piece, as they can be on watch nonstop and boot out anything that is trying to breach your other protective measures. They can also review the other protective measures and report if something needs a boost or repair. You can work out with them whether you or they will do the repair. I recommend having a hands-on approach and doing at least some of the protection work personally, instead of just tasking spirits with protection and remaining uninvolved. We have to have protective methods be second-nature to us, in case of emergency, so starting to practice when things are peaceful is a good way to do it.

In your personal opinion, what is the min. protective spirits that someone should have? Is it 4 for each direction?

What spirits are in your protective team?

Spirits I have brought on board for protection include Volkhs (including some to protect my parents, spouse, and pets, as truly baneful people won't hesitate to strike out at loved ones), a wraith, all four watchers with two lares apiece, and angels. I have got multiple (and I do mean a small army, lol) guardian servitors from Eclipse Metaphysical, and several servitors from Dark Lord Midnight's shop, as well. Add to that the fact that dragons, gryphons, angels, and others, including our WA as well as DA spirits, can be EXTREMELY protective. WA spirits don't attack out of malice, but boy howdy, will they protect!

I went into the CH shop and searched for "protect" and "protection" to see which spirits and spells would be best, and then bit by bit, I started adding things to the protection scheme.

I highly recommend also learning to cast protection, banish, and shield. Knowing how to do things for ourselves is never the wrong answer. We had a longtime poster here named Caiyros who used to recommend the book by Dion Fortune called Psychic Self-Defense. That would be an excellent place to start.
