Layaway Transactions - Hanging & Crashing Tabs

Hello Creepy Crew,

Just to let you know, there appears to be an issue when you set up a layaway order and you pay the initial payment using PayPal.

So the order process, as in ticking the check box to agree to the T&Cs and going to the PayPal checkout window worked fine, the issue occurred after the PayPal window closed and took you back to CH for the transaction to process.
The background greyed out and the timer/processing circle icon comes up like it should when it processes a transaction, but the page was then hanging with the timer/processing circle icon going. After leaving that page hanging for ten minutes the tab/window froze completely and I had to force close it (no payment was taken). I then had to go into the order page of my account (the status of the order said New, Awaiting Payment), and then click the Pay button from the order history page to then pay the first instalment of the layaway, which went through with no issue.

Browser: Chrome Version 137.0.7151.120 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Operating System: Windows 11 (64-bit)
Device: Windows Surface Pro 7

Gonna go ahead and make the standard first suggestion- have you tried deleting cookies/stored site data and/or using a different browser? Obviously it should be expected to work fine in Chrome but just to help isolate the issue. If you have any adblockers, also consider making an exception for Creepy Hollows in case it might be blocking an important element causing the loop

I regularly clear the cache and cookies so I don't think that's the issue here.
I've not tried a different browser, I will have to try that next time I start a layaway, which probably won't be for a while to be honest.
I do have an ad/popup blocker I think CH is already on the allow list, but I will go back and double check that. Again, it only seemed to be an issue when initially setting up the layaway, not for subsequent payments.
