Are sigils considered spells?

Mmm if by spell you mean "a set of words, spoken or unspoken, which are considered by its user to invoke some magical effect", considering sigil is not spoken or written, then it is not a spell : ) (unless you derive spoken words to chant from the sigilization, that is)

I remember that website recommended in one of articles about sigil. But it's limited to 3x3 matrix, and not enough theory of how it is done. Still you should try it : )

Meh, I don't like these at all. I think that to have an effective sigil you have to design and draw it yourself. I tend to do sigils a little differently than others, though, to me it is important that they are aesthetically pleasing.

There are many methods of designing them. Take your time, choose colours that correspond to the entity you are wanting a sigil for. Think about the entity when you are making it, infuse and charge it with your understanding of the entity. They can be strong enough to promote spontanious invocation once you have worked with the entity with the sigil. Ask the spirits to bless and charge it with their energy. Consecrate it in the relevant element etc. Lots of ways to supercharge a sigil!

Look into hypersigils, you'd be suprised what could count as sigils

Oo hypersigil, yep, heard of it about someone made it as comic book series : )
