”Being conscious, present, here and now, is how you nourish the Consciousness. If you are distracted, you are not feeding your Consciousness.
So, you can just simply eat an apple, and if you eat it consciously, the atoms from that apple are transformed and nourish the Consciousness as well as the body.
But if you eat the apple while thinking of somethign else, like daydreaming or wandering in memories or fantasies, you only give the body a little nourishment, and nothing to the soul, the Consciousness. It remains asleep.”
