Just as there are different styles of yoga, different systems of astrology, there are different ways to develop the third eye.
The approach I favour is a natural one. I must admit I don't like any suggestion that the third eye or it's use is somehow different, other, strange, unnatural and we must do weird, strange things to force it open... almost as if it's something difficult and maybe impossible via normal means.
We all already have a third eye. In one sense it functions already and we may have experienced times when that was apparent..
So for me diet and lifestyle aren't key to Third Eye development. (If we live a lifestyle we believe is wrong or harmful, or is unhealthy, that can block us anyway.)
I think what's usually missing is time spent becoming familiar with it. Working on the development.
Not everyone nowadays is going to do what I did: spend 30 minutes daily for 10 years in third eye meditation. But don't knock it, if you're thinking of something similar.
My third eye did 'open' to spiritual vision very quickly - I didn't need to wait 10 years. But at least I was devoting time to the practice and the meditation techniques facilitated attaining that experience.
The CH Shop has lots of things to help with 3rd eye development. I heartily recommend browsing and selecting something.
Not the resident expert. Just another spirit keeper. Since 2017. Forum member since 2018.

"Organic Veggie Burgers" have a rep for having a ton of stuff added for binders. Just saying.
Alaric has probably the best advice--just start trying to use it in small steps. It's like a muscle that you've never used, gotta work it up. My third-eye use isn't all that great, but it works for me. My diet SUCKS, (I will say I don't partake of alcohol--which sounds wonky when you find out I go through a bottle of liquor a month,
) but I use it all the time.
I can also recommend the CH subscription class for communications--many of the exercises revolve around building up your third eye skills with energy sensing.

Like other have said here, the Third eye is like a muscle. It needs exercise to develop and strengthen. Despite the name, it may be easier to understand as another sensory organ just like your eyes, nose, skin, ears, etc., although what you sense with it is different.
If you want to do research into developing your psychic senses, I recommend looking into Chi/Qi, the body's energy system, and basic energy manipulation techniques to get an understanding of what it all entails.
I know that what I am suggesting is more geared toward the physical energy side of things, but learning to recognize what energy feels like, and how to tune into it and detect it will be a huge stepping stone to tuning into the spiritual, rather than trying to tune into your spirits, not feeling anything, and thinking you've somehow failed because you have no ifea what it's supposed to feel like.

I don't remember ever doing specific exercises to open my third eye ... whether to look into the realms or for anything else! In my whole life, I’ve always belived: you either have the gift of seeing, or you don't. To me, it never really mattered whether that insight came through a "third eye" or just my own inner vision.
However, since we’re sharing tips on third-eye activation, it got me thinking
. I often ask my companions to help activate my CH psychic enhancement & my hidden psychic abilities for better accuracy. Looking back, I truly believe they’ve helped me over the years, as my visions and ability to perceive different realms have grown so much stronger.
If you could unlock any third-eye ability immediately, which one would you choose?
You asked... what to avoid: I would avoid anything that forcefully opening my inner eye. I would be very careful of working with particular mantras that literally cut throught the inner eyes via its energy or other forces. Probably, I intuitively felt, its dangerous to do that sort of mantras or subliminal YouTube music and I just avoid it.
As for living and doing natural things ... Here is what I do: nature walk in the bush or big forest, humming on my own gentle voice, lower tones preferred. Flute playing and allow my brain to shift into meditation levels. Sit outside next to the water fall and looking into the water while I imagine of become one with its splashing & nature.
I also try to eat healthy, get lots of sunshine and exercise. I go to the gym, and walk home, if I have the time, instead of driving everywhere. No alcohol in my home ever, and I don't drink soft drinks either. But I do love coffee ... Which is actually very relaxing to me personally. Water is my only fluid and coffee because of the minimal milk that I drink with it and my body need it for calcium.
Other things ... I do like to fully empty my body from food. I hate digesting my meals all day long. Its makes me feeling heavy and tired. I especially not eat much bread for few years. Probably was the hardest, that I chose to cut out of my diet because I do love breads. Its just not good for my disgesting system. I eat bread maybe once a week, one slice with a soup or Vegemite & avocado spread on it.
To help my body to get rid off toxic waste, "fasting" is my best option, coffee and water. I eat small portions of food at once like dinner 3:30 to 4 pm each day. Usually small portionands to digest foods faster, inteasd of anything fatty or fried. 6 pm, fruit time for blood sugar, before bed. An Apple, bannna or pear... One piece of fruit is enough to me to feel good and not to get a low reading in the morning.
Then comes my bed time, 9:30 pm. I know its rather early for most people. But I get up 4:45am and also work full-time. Early bedtimes also helps my body to rest and clean itself and fast between meals while I sleep. Then, I drink my cup of coffee and eat a banana first thing in the morning. Cuddle my dog for 20 minuts while I talk to my spirits about my day, bless and pray. During my car drive, I do my mantras and some of my activations and taskings or simply telepathy with my newbies. The rhythm of a day is important for spirit keeping ad psychic work.
7:30 am, on the go.... at work, I drink my liquid breakfast, low sugar and low salt drink which is full of essential vitamins and minerals. Finally, I sit down to have breakfast around 9:30 am, even at-home, not just morning tea time at work. That is usually an apple or a piece of toasted bread with avocado & Vegemite spead. Some mornings, I have baked pumpkin left over from previous dinner. Lunchtime is around 12:30pm, and I love a good pumpkin soup, cauliflower or broccoli soup, or something fast like a banana and a coffee, hehehehe.
Between meals, its important to be on the go and be active. Even if I get to do PC work, I get up every hour and go on a short walk. Its important to do that. And that is really all to my life about food, exercise, sunshine & sleep. Intentions are important and to have balance and gratitude even if thing does not go well all the time. Its important to be always thankful and not taking life for granted. Plan a head but sometimes go with the flow, intuitivly.
I apologise for this long reply. Maybe you'll find it useful.
