Roanoke Island Colony

I recently came across stories that the first British colony in America which was on Roanoke Island in NC, and which was destroyed by harsh winters and drought, was ACTUALLY destroyed by Vampyres. No trace was ever found of the colonists there. Rumor, myth, fake with a hint of truth behind it? I just thought it was a delicious story, as I live very close to there, and I am *ahem*, disposed to believe Vamps are real! . I would LOVE to try a seance and see what pops up! Anybody have any info, old stories, etc for me to dig into? XD

I don't have anything worthwhile to contribute, only it's funny you posted as I've been thinking about it.

Truth be told it's only on my mind because of American Horror Story, but nonetheless an intriguing subject.

I have often thought about that colony. What happened to them? My angels told me that they were attacked and destroyed, but won't tell my inquiring mind how. Since I don't really have any answers, I have nothing more to contribute.

It was also mentioned in Stephen's King Storm of the Century. One of the few of his books that had a great tv adaptation.

What about apples?
I haven't read all his stuff, but he had his moments. Most tv shows or movies based on his books sucked, although he did play a role in each of them afaik.

ROANOKE. VERY COOL SUBJECT. I KNOW THERE ARE THEORIES OUT THERE THAT THEY WERE TAKEN BY HOSTILE TRIBAL AMERICANS OR THEY TRIED TO SET UP COLONY ELSEWHERE AFTER THAT LOCATION BOMBED. I KNOW THERE WAS SOMETHING CARVED INTO A TREE THAT THEY THINK ONE OF THE SETTLERS CARVED BUT I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS.

LET US KNOW WHAT YOU FIND OUT IN YOUR SEANCE.
