I think they are looking for answers that hypnosis might not give.

What kind of answers would their subconscious mind not know?
Past Lives are known through the subconscious, everything they are going through now is known through the subconscious, their Higher Selves are through the subconscious
I would be interested to know if there is actually anything at all the subconscious doesn't know about them

But then again I know what Hypnosis can and does do
