SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - W BAY ST

When Ash & I were in Savannah, Georgia to take a look at some haunted locations I had left early in the morning to get some fresh air and get a cup of coffee (necessity for me, need fuel). I stopped to take some quick photographs of the area because I felt a strong presence and when I got out of the car to take photographs I locked the keys in the car (thanks to a gremlin) and this was before cell phones were all the rage, this was when payphones still ruled. I started to panic because this was also before GPS were common and I wasn't sure which direction I came from and where I should go to try and call Ash. I walked to a business who let me use their phone, called Ash and when I came back to the car this was on the ground by the driver's door and I know it wasn't there before because I had stood next to the door trying to get in and then cursing the gremlin. LOL

I picked it up and I have kept it since and it has provided a very soothing, peaceful, balance energy that really helped on one investigation that we did not long after leaving Savannah and I will write it up soon and put it in the forum.

Oh how odd Magnolia! Odd is good. :D You must write a memoir of your Savannah trip for us. I just relished your stories of your graveyard visits and am dying for more :)

Did you get anything on those photos you took when you felt the presence? How did you like Savannah? I found that much of Savannah has an "interesting" air that I've never felt anywhere else before. To me it felt almost like it could be a portal to times gone by.

Did you go to any of the cemeteries? Surely, you must have! I went to Colonial and I could have stayed there and soaked up the atmosphere indefinitely. When I was in there I lost touch with the world around me. It was like the whole world had just stopped and everything was completely still. It felt like the whole world was that graveyard and nothing existed outside of it. I think I got some ghosties on film but I can't find them right now. I have to dig them out!

Savannah is a very haunted area. It has some beautiful "OLD" homes. Civil War and other statues and memorials. And, as mentioned, grave yards. A very old southern city with much rich history.

Savannah is one of my favorite places. I was born and raised in middle Georgia. I have many many shells and pebbles I have picked up off the beaches, mostly at Tybee Island.

Actually, I have picked up shells and other items off beaches all over, mostly the East Coast, all my life. This is a jar that usually sits on a book case where my Granddaughters Fairy House sits.

I never kept track of what was picked up where. But the feather in this jar came from that area, along with at least some of the shells.

My last visit to Savannah/Tybee Island was spring/summer of 2003 when I sprinkled some of my late husbands ashes off the pier and threw a red rose out to sea. I found the feather at my feet as I stood on the beach watching the waves as they brought the rose back to me. All in all....a truly awsome day.
